Explosive start
With a coastline of over 137km, Ha Tinh has many beautiful beaches famous for their fine sand, clear water, rich seafood resources, and unique cultural deposits. Turning potential into advantages in tourism development, in recent times, Ha Tinh has built modern tourist areas and destinations to meet the increasing demands of tourists.
Summer is the time when Ha Tinh's coastal tourist areas and spots attract a large number of tourists from all over to enjoy and relax.
To kick off the summer of 2025, at the end of April, localities across the province simultaneously organized a series of events to launch sea tourism, with many bustling activities, creating strong spread. As a result, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Ha Tinh tourism witnessed an explosion when attracting a large number of tourists: reaching more than 734,000 visitors, 69,688 overnight guests (an increase of 31% over the same period in 2024).
Ms. Nguyen Thi Ha (from Hong Loc commune, Thach Ha, currently living in Hanoi) said: “Going back to my hometown with my whole family during the holidays, we had many wonderful experiences when visiting and relaxing at coastal tourist areas and destinations such as Xuan Hai (Loc Ha town, Thach Ha) and Xuan Thanh (Nghi Xuan). Besides the clean and beautiful beaches, fresh seafood, and reasonable prices, the tourist areas and destinations have many new and attractive entertainment products.”
Ms. Ha's comment is also the common feeling of many tourists when coming to Ha Tinh beach during the recent holiday. Along with the careful preparation of facilities, the beach tourism areas and spots in Ha Tinh such as Xuan Thanh, Xuan Hai, Thien Cam, Ky Ninh... have organized many rich and attractive cultural and sports activities such as: Vi Giam folk song performances, sports tournaments, traditional boat racing, sightseeing electric car service... The products have created a vibrant and bustling space attracting tourists to the beach during the early summer vacation.
Keep the summer going
Not stopping at the opening week, many localities and coastal tourist areas and spots in the province have prepared facilities and planned to build many products, organize cultural and sports activities to attract tourists throughout the summer.
One of the factors that helps tourists feel secure when visiting and relaxing at coastal tourist areas and spots is accommodation facilities. Currently, the whole province has 312 hotels and motels with nearly 7,000 rooms, of which, coastal tourist areas and spots have about 2,500 rooms. According to the report of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, during the recent April 30 and May 1 holidays, all rooms at coastal tourist accommodation facilities were fully booked, but still could not meet the needs of tourists.
To increase the number of rooms, this summer, many hotels in coastal tourist areas and spots have been built and put into operation. Of which, Thien Cam Tourist Area is expected to have 5 new hotels with more than 200 rooms; Xuan Thanh Tourist Area has 1 new hotel (with 170 rooms) meeting 4-star standards put into operation.
At the same time, many destinations such as Xuan Hai and Ky Ninh beaches, some businesses and individuals have also invested in building hotels, adding a large number of rooms to serve the needs of tourists coming to the beach.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Phuc - Executive Director of Hanvet Hotel (Xuan Thanh Tourist Area) said: "In order to meet the needs of tourists, we are speeding up the completion of items of Hanvet Hotel 2, including the installation of furniture for 170 rooms, meeting 4-star standards to put into service this July".
Along with improving the quantity and quality of accommodation facilities, many coastal resorts have also developed plans to organize attractive activities to serve tourists. Mr. Pham Van Tuan - Head of Thien Cam Tourist Area Management Board said: "This summer, we are coordinating with units and individuals to develop many new services. Besides Beach Cub Thien Cam with beverage services, check-in, music programs on weekends, we are implementing services and experiential activities such as: sightseeing electric car service; developing the Camping area in the North of Thien Cam, building a night market at Con Go fishing port...; organizing activities such as: Cau Ngu festival, paragliding and artistic windsurfing performances, folk singing performances, Giam; directing hotels and restaurants to develop combo packages to offer customers...
In particular, on this occasion, the Management Board of Thien Cam Tourist Area cooperated with the Travel Association (Ha Tinh Tourism Association) to open the Thien Cam Tour Consulting Office called "Thien Cam go". When coming to Thien Cam beach, tourists will have the opportunity to explore famous landscapes, landscapes, and attractive destinations of Ha Tinh through 3 tours: Thien Cam - Ke Go Lake - Vung Ang Port; Thien Cam - Cua Sot Water Park - Dong Loc Intersection; Explore and experience squid fishing at Boc Island (Thien Cam) at night...".
At Xuan Thanh Tourist Area, Nghi Xuan District has recently focused on investing in building many new products and services. Among them, the product of sitting on a cruise boat listening to folk songs on My Duong freshwater creek is considered a strange and unique product. The My Duong freshwater creek section put into operation is about 1km long, about 50m wide, located within the tourist area.
Joining the party on a cruise listening to folk songs, tourists will immerse themselves in the magical space at night with hundreds of sparkling lanterns shining down on the slow water of My Duong creek. The antiphonal singing of Vi and Giam by the artists on the boat will bring tourists back to the nostalgic cultural space of the old Ha Tinh countryside. In addition, on this occasion, Xuan Thanh Tourist Area has also built more than 10 free fresh water shower spots along the beach, 10 small stages to serve groups of guests and many beautiful check-in spots for tourists to freely take souvenir photos.
In the near future, the Management Board of Public Services and Tourist Attractions of Nghi Xuan District will continue to “launch” many other attractive products such as: a music program every week, inviting professional singers to perform; every month there will be 1-2 sports tournaments such as pickleball, volleyball, golf, etc.
Another highlight that is also being deployed this summer is the product of taking an electric car to visit the dog racing track, the most modern 18-hole golf course in Southeast Asia. It is expected that at the end of August 2025, Xuan Thanh dog racing track will officially open to welcome visitors to experience.
Besides Xuan Thanh and Thien Cam, many other coastal tourist areas and destinations such as Quynh Vien resort (Thach Hai commune, Ha Tinh city), Ky Ninh... also plan to organize many cultural and sports activities to serve tourists in the summer of 2025.
At some beaches such as Thach Hai and Xuan Hai, many services for tourists swimming in the morning have also come into operation, creating a bustling atmosphere and keeping the sea lively.
With attractive products and diverse activities, Ha Tinh beach tourism promises to be more exciting this summer.
Along with encouraging localities to develop diverse products and attractive sea tourism activities to serve tourists, we will strengthen coordination to promote and advertise destinations and tourism services... to spread and attract tourists to Ha Tinh sea.
