The Vietnamese rookie group has its first win, SOOBIN relieves the pressure

(Dan Tri) - Overcoming the pressure of failure in the previous episode, the Rookie group promoted under the leadership of SOOBIN had their first victory against the Korean group 8TURN.

Continuing the development of the first performance, the Rookies team entered the second round after losing narrowly to the group 8TURN in the previous episode. Opening this round, the K-pop group 8TURN brought the energetic performance WE , receiving 510 votes.

With the pressure from the previous failure, SOOBIN and the contestants decided to keep the challenge level at 90%, to help the group reduce the pressure and enjoy the stage.

The Rookies promoted lineup of Ho Dong Quan, Swan Nguyen, Lam Anh and Duc Duy performed the song Vacation . This is a bright song produced by Training and Development Director Hyuk Shin.

The performance impressed with its youthful energy and creative staging, helping the group overcome the 90% challenge level, achieving 519 points, equivalent to 102% of the milestone score set by 8TURN. This victory helped each member gain an additional 100 individual points.

Sharing his feelings after the competition, SOOBIN said: "That cheer was like a release from months of hard work and exactly what I wanted, it was the premise to create motivation for the next round."

Entering the second performance, the pressure increased when the Rookies had to compete with two international groups at the same time: JUSTB (Korea) and KID PHENOMENON (Japan).

JUSTB is a group that has been active in the K-pop market for over 4 years, possessing extensive experience performing on many major international stages. Since their debut, the group has released many EPs (extended play) and won notable music awards.

Meanwhile, KID PHENOMENON was formed in August 2023 through the large-scale audition program iCON Z - Dreams For Children in Japan. The group made its mark with many music products that continuously achieved high rankings on the charts.

Realizing that the group needed someone to take on an overall role, SOOBIN proposed to elect an official leader for the second performance.

"Starting from the second performance, I think it's time for us to find a few candidates who have the potential to become the official leader in the future. I want to see names that receive a lot of trust from the other members. Anyone who feels they have the ability and desire to take on this position will have the opportunity to try," said SOOBIN.

As a result, with the trust from the rookies and the crew, Wonbi was chosen.
