Mr. Anh (right) shares his passion for his homeland.

When you come to Khanh My, ask for Mr. Truong Cong Anh, any local people will enthusiastically show you the way. According to the stories of Mrs. Tran Thi Hoa, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh and many other people in Khanh My village, the Head of the Village Front Committee, Truong Cong Anh, is always one of the first people to be present when people need him.

A typical example is after a tornado at night (2022) that caused 42 houses in Khanh My village to lose their roofs, many houses had their walls collapsed, were severely damaged, and the scene was devastated. After the tornado, at dawn, Mr. Anh was present, running back and forth like a shuttle to grasp the situation and encourage the affected households. At the same time, he, along with the village chief, the village party cell secretary, and representatives of mass organizations, coordinated on-site forces to promptly help the people before the army and other forces arrived to rescue.

With a simple smile on his face, Mr. Truong Cong Anh said: "Thanks to the trust of the people, I have been able to coordinate and mobilize the people living in the area; at the same time, connect and mobilize the children of Khanh My in other provinces and cities to join hands to contribute to building the new countryside and our homeland."

Leading us on the spacious and clean National Highway 49, Mr. Anh said: When Vinh Xuan commune (old) started to implement the new rural construction movement, Khanh My was the first village in the commune to follow the movement, contribute, and connect 120 million VND to build a lighting system on this section of National Highway 49 and "light up" all the crossroads and alleys in the village.

Khanh My is also the leading village in the movement of donating land to expand and concrete internal roads. “People responded and donated more than 2,000 square meters of production land to expand the road because they understood the long-term benefits. With the spirit of joining hands for a prosperous and developed Khanh My, people continued to contribute nearly 400 million VND to expand and concrete 3 roads in the village,” Mr. Truong Cong Anh shared.

For Mr. Truong Cong Anh, before taking on the role of Head of the Village Front Work Committee, he had been the head of Khanh My village for many years, "going to every alley, knocking on every door" to propagate and mobilize people to implement policies and guidelines, being a "bridge" between the people and the government, sharing the worries and joys of the people, understanding the circumstances of each family in the village and gaining the trust of the people. Mr. Anh's way of mobilizing was to hold meetings with the people to propagate. Each contribution of the people was announced on the village radio system, along with sincere thanks, spreading the spirit of support. At the same time, Mr. Anh directly called for and mobilized the participation of Khanh My children who had good economic conditions and were enthusiastic to support their homeland.

“Depending on their ability, one person contributes 5 million, another 10 million, 20 million VND. In particular, Mr. Truong Cong Luu, who currently lives in Dak Lak province, is the one who contributed billions to build roads, public works, and support water pumps to help people in agricultural production,” Mr. Anh informed. The day we arrived in Khanh My, the villagers were also excited to hold the inauguration ceremony of the temple to the founders. Mr. Anh said that this project was built with a budget of 500 million VND supported by Mr. Truong Cong Luu.

Highly appreciating Mr. Truong Cong Anh's contributions in the mobilization work, Mr. Bui Hung, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Phu Vinh commune, believes that the Head of the Front Work Committee of Khanh My village will continue to make an important contribution to building solidarity in the community.
