The Vietnam Fatherland Front of An Giang province plays the role of a strong bridge between the Party, the State and the people. Not only conveying policies and guidelines, the front also listens to the people's thoughts and aspirations to make timely recommendations, contributing to strengthening trust and creating consensus in society.

People follow the policy of the Party Committee, the government, and the movement of the front to build a green, clean, and beautiful rural traffic route in Thanh Dong commune ( An Giang province).

Correct policy, effective action

Coming to Kenh 5A hamlet, Thanh Dong commune (An Giang province), it is easy to see the results of the consensus of the Party Committee, the government and the people. The rural roads are now wide and airy, with solid fences on both sides, spacious houses, brightly lit at night. The security camera system installed helps maintain order and safety in the hamlet.

The Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Dong commune coordinated with parishes to propagate to Catholics about participating in building the environmental landscape and maintaining security and order.

Up to 98% of the people in Kenh 5A Hamlet are Catholics, most of whom live on farming, and there are no poor or near-poor households. Mr. Pham Van Tam, Head of the Hamlet Front Work Committee, said: "Implementing the policy of the Commune Party Committee, the Hamlet Party Cell, the Front Work Committee has mobilized religious organizations, philanthropists and people to contribute nearly 1 billion VND to build and repair street lights, install security cameras, build incinerators, support schools... The model of lighting up rural roads and building green fences has been strongly approved and supported by the people."

According to Mr. Tam, the initial difficulties in the mobilization work have gradually been resolved thanks to persistent propaganda. “People support because they see the practical effectiveness. Above all, the people themselves also directly participate in monitoring, giving opinions, ensuring the sustainability and quality of the project,” he said.

Speak up for the people

Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns have been widely deployed, contributing to socio -economic development and taking care of people's lives.”

In particular, the work of social supervision and criticism has been increasingly effective. Over the past 4 years, the Fatherland Front system and socio -political organizations at all levels in the province have conducted 7,495 supervisions, focusing on the implementation of policies and laws related to the legitimate rights and interests of the people. Through supervision, the Front has made many timely recommendations, contributing to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of government operations, building the Party and the political system increasingly stronger.

At the commune level, the front is closer to the people's lives. Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Dong commune, Nguyen Kim Thuy, said: "The commune front focuses on monitoring the issues that people are most concerned about, such as social security, civil works, and payment of policies for meritorious people... Thereby, promptly recommending the government to rectify limitations, creating high consensus among the people."

Sharing about the bridging role of the front, Mr. Do Van Luong (residing in Kenh 5A hamlet, Thanh Dong commune) expressed: "The Front listens to the issues that people report and forwards them to the government for timely resolution. People clearly see the care and support of the front."

The Front is a bridge between the Party, the State and the People; a place to turn correct policies into correct actions and correct results. Emphasizing the role and tasks in the coming time, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of An Giang Province Tran Thi Thanh Huong affirmed: “The tradition of the Front is solidarity and the strength of the Front is the strength of the people. The Fatherland Front actively and closely connects with the people so that each Front cadre is truly a “trusted friend of the people”, a “sustainable bridge of the great national unity bloc”.

According to comrade Tran Thi Thanh Huong, the road ahead still has much work to do and many challenges to overcome, but the firm belief in the strength of national solidarity, in the intelligence, mettle, and aspiration of the front cadres, together with the cooperation and creativity of all classes of people, will be the driving force to complete all tasks.
