Bat Trang giant pottery wheel - Lang Son Electronic Newspaper

Inspired by the intertwining ceramic wheel blocks, the Vietnamese Craft Village Essence Center was built in the heart of the ancient Bat Trang pottery village ( Hanoi ).

With a total investment of about 150 billion VND and an area of 3,300m², the project is Architect Hoang Thuc Hao designed in 2018. Located near Bac Hung Hai River, the project consists of 7 spiral blocks symbolizing 7 pottery wheels, with an architecture that combines soft curves and solidity. The project combines both pottery making tools such as a wheel with an ancient gourd kiln to fire pottery, demonstrating the hands, intelligence, and mind of the pottery artisan. The Center for the Essence of Vietnamese Craft Villages not only honors and promotes the value of Bat Trang craft village but also widely promotes the image, brand of ceramics and handicraft products of Vietnam.
