Ways to help you look younger without surgery

AN NHIEN (According to Daily Mail)

In order to maintain youthfulness, many people often choose popular beauty methods such as wrinkle injections (botox), skin tightening with fillers or cosmetic surgery. However, these procedures are both expensive and painful, and can cause side effects and health risks such as infections and scarring. Instead, experts advise people to try the following ways to "renovate their beauty" without needles or surgery:

Practicing yoga and gentle facial massage can help us rejuvenate.

+ Practice facial yoga. The health benefits of yoga have long been known. But few people know that practicing facial yoga targets the muscles of the face, neck and scalp, especially bringing about the benefits of facial rejuvenation. The reason is that facial yoga stimulates blood circulation on the face, thereby promoting the production of collagen - a protein that supports the structure, making the skin soft and supple.

Experts suggest doing face yoga twice a day, right after waking up and before going to bed, each session lasting about 5 minutes. To warm up, open your jaw wide as if you were yawning, then look up at the ceiling without moving your forehead and hold for 10 seconds and repeat. A typical exercise is to move your chin to one side and lift it slightly, pursing your lips to form a kiss. Hold this position for 10 seconds and switch sides to repeat.

+ Sunbathing. Exposure to the rays of sunlight can help prevent wrinkles. It may sound strange, but it is a good way to provide vitamin D, a nutrient essential for maintaining healthy bones, teeth and muscles. According to Ms. Maula, the “sunshine” vitamin helps regulate the immune system and reduce inflammation, thereby helping to slow down the aging process. The natural rays in sunlight can also help reduce stress, a factor associated with aging diseases such as high blood pressure, heart disease and cognitive decline.

It is important to avoid the sun early and apply sunscreen when going out in the sun. Exposure to UV radiation can damage the DNA structure in skin cells and cause skin cancer, as well as premature skin aging.

+ Acupuncture. This method is becoming popular as an alternative to filler injections. In theory, acupuncture triggers the release of fibroblasts (also known as “healing cells”) to fix the areas that need filling with collagen. This process also triggers the production of elastin, which tightens the skin. As a result, the acupuncture process causes sagging muscles to contract and become firmer. Note, you should consult a doctor before applying this method.

+ Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT). Only about 20% of the air we breathe is oxygen, the rest is other gases such as nitrogen and carbon dioxide (CO2). HBOT allows you to breathe 100% oxygen while lying in a hyperbaric tube-shaped chamber. According to Dr. Asiya Maula, general practitioner and Director of the private healthcare company Health Suite (UK), breathing pure oxygen promotes collagen production, thereby reducing the risk of wrinkles. HBOT also increases blood circulation, which can improve the condition of age spots, sagging skin, poor collagen structure and skin cell damage, while improving skin elasticity.

+ Get enough sleep. Temporary dark circles, puffy eyelids, and pale skin are common signs of sleep deprivation. Many studies have shown that not getting enough sleep causes many unwanted aging effects. For example, in one study, American scientists observed 60 women aged 30-50 and found that those who lacked sleep were more likely to develop wrinkles and uneven skin tone. Similarly, a sleep test showed that after a night of poor sleep, your appearance will look less attractive.
