The Can Duoc commune police force currently has approximately 80 members. They are "extended arms," providing strong support to the regular police in all aspects of their work, from gathering information on the local area, patrolling, mediating conflicts, to assisting citizens with administrative procedures.
Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Hoai Phong, Head of the Can Duoc Commune Police, affirmed: "The forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level play a crucial role in consolidating public trust, helping the regular police force to successfully complete its tasks and maintain security and order in the area."
Maintain peace on the front lines.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ke (residing in Long An ward) has been involved in community security activities for nearly 10 years and is now a member of the local security force.
Even at nearly 60 years old, he still speaks with great enthusiasm about the days he spent patrolling every alley and reminding each household to protect their property.
As a member of the local security force, Mr. Kẻ further demonstrated his dedication and became a "nemesis" of criminals.
Mr. Nguyen Van Ke (far left) was awarded a certificate of commendation by the People's Committee of Tan An City, Long An Province (formerly) for his achievements in combating crime.
Undeterred by difficulties, Mr. Ke, along with the regular police force, closely monitored the area, promptly detecting and preventing violations of the law, thus maintaining peace and order. "Contributing to protecting the peaceful lives of the people is a joy for me," Mr. Ke said.
Long An Ward currently has approximately 150 members participating in the local security and order protection force. With a thorough understanding of the area, a high sense of responsibility, and proactiveness, this force always maintains close contact with the people, responding quickly and effectively to incidents.
Ms. Tran Thi Thu (residing in Long An ward) shared: "In recent times, in addition to the regular police, the local security and order protection team has also been very close to the people. At night, every week, the officers often patrol and remind people to protect their property."
Along with Can Duoc commune and Long An ward, the entire province currently has more than 1,500 grassroots security and order protection teams with approximately 6,900 members operating in 96 communes and wards. They are important links that help the regular police gather information early and from afar, contributing to maintaining peace and security for the people.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of the security forces at the grassroots level and the regular police force, Tay Ninh province is becoming a safe and livable locality, where every citizen feels protected and at peace.
