All public high schools will have entrance exams.

The admission method for grade 10 high school this year is that 100% of public high schools will organize entrance exams. The exam will take place over 2 days (June 3 and 4). Specialized high schools, high schools and public schools will take the exam on the same day. Exam subjects, exam schedule

Candidates registering for the 10th grade entrance exam at high schools and An Giang Ethnic Boarding High School must take 3 subjects: Literature (120 minutes), Math (120 minutes), English (60 minutes). Candidates registering for the 10th grade entrance exam at specialized high schools must take 4 subjects, including 3 subjects with the same exam questions as candidates applying for high schools and 1 specialized subject. Specialized subjects include: Math, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Literature, History, Geography, Informatics, English; test time is 150 minutes/subject.

The exam content is within the General Education Program for Secondary School, mainly the 9th grade program. The exam subjects are in essay format, except for the English subject, which combines essay and multiple choice (candidates do the test directly on the exam paper). For the specialized IT subject, candidates take the programming test directly on the computer; the specialized English subject has a listening test, lasting from 15 - 20 minutes...

Candidates who register for the entrance exam to the Ethnic Boarding High School and wish to be directly admitted to another high school must submit their application for direct admission within the prescribed time. In case they are not admitted to the Ethnic Boarding High School, their registered direct admission request will be considered.

Candidates who register for the Center for Sports Training, Coaching and Competition must have a decision to call them up before September of the year before registering for the exam. The selection process will be completed before the exam is held, so that those who are not selected can take the exam with other candidates.
