According to BGR , ChatGPT or Google Bard are AI chatbots that many people are looking to explore , with OpenAI's service being the most prominent name. However, no matter how attractive they are, users should avoid doing some tasks when interacting with ChatGPT.

Users should be careful when using ChatGPT

Do not share personal data

OpenAI collects all the data it can to train ChatGPT, it will also use the data users enter into the chat, so don't make the mistake of putting personal information in it. All of this is stated in ChatGPT's privacy policy, and users can't ask OpenAI to delete that data either.

Italy and Canada were the first countries to investigate ChatGPT over privacy concerns. Samsung recently discovered how poor the service's security was after some of its employees shared sensitive information in conversations with the chatbot.

Do not install untrusted ChatGPT applications

The appeal of this AI chatbot makes it a tool that hackers want to exploit to spread malware. Multiple reports have detailed ChatGPT-based malware attacks using similar methods.

They create fake genuine apps and extensions to lure users to install them but in reality they are malware that steals user data. So make sure not to install ChatGPT apps from untrusted sources. Double check before downloading and installing anything on your device.

Don't forget to ask for information

When looking for information, users should always ask OpenAI’s chatbot to provide sources for the claims it makes, complete with links. This helps users ensure that the information they receive is accurate. Because AI can be incredibly smart, it is still unreliable and can make mistakes when answering questions.

AI chatbots can deliver a lot of misinformation from "fakenews" sources

Any AI can provide misinformation, and OpenAI is trying to address the reliability of the information its AI chatbot provides. Even with GPT-4, users can still be exposed to misinformation.

Don't forget copyright laws

Because OpenAI has provided ChatGPT with so much data to train its large language model, the chatbot remembers everything, including potentially copyrighted material. As an AI, copyright issues may not be taken seriously, so if you use the data that ChatGPT generates for your own work, you could be inadvertently violating copyright laws by copying content provided by ChatGPT.
