Proud images at the Vinh Long Half Marathon - Mekong Heart Journey

The tournament gathered more than 2,100 athletes competing in 4 professional and amateur distances, including 21km Half Marathon (men and women), 10km men and 5km women.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee said that, in addition to spreading the message about health, it is also an opportunity for athletes and tourists to understand more about the culture and people of Vinh Long.

According to Ms. Thanh, with a history of nearly 300 years, the province has many historical and cultural relics and outstanding figures that make Vinh Long a proud land. Vinh Long has gentle rivers and many fruit gardens.

"The organizers hope that, through the running routes, in every step of the athletes, they will join in the joyful atmosphere and overflowing emotions of the historic April days. To feel more proud and love their country, cherish peace , independence, freedom, and understand more about the land and people of Vinh Long," said Ms. Thanh.
