Instead of having to spend time and effort traveling back and forth as in previous years, more than 2.7 million EVNHCMC electricity customers today can simply perform all electricity-related requests and procedures online using their smartphones with internet access.
Since 2015, EVNHCMC has proactively developed a customer care application and utility (EVNHCMC Customer Care App) alongside the deployment of an effective remote metering system. The aim is to provide customers with the quickest and most convenient service by offering new services and empowering them to monitor their electricity usage. Simultaneously, customers can monitor the quality of electricity services anytime, anywhere through the EVNHCMC Customer Care app and website. Since then, the app has been upgraded once and currently has over 1 million users.
Remote metering systems not only collect electricity readings remotely to calculate customer electricity bills but also provide additional information related to customer electricity usage. For example, they alert customers to unusual increases/decreases in electricity consumption, and warn about operating parameters such as current, voltage, and power factor. These alerts are automatically sent to customers via the EVNHCMC CSKH app, Zalo, email, etc. This allows customers to proactively plan their electricity usage more flexibly, efficiently, and economically, contributing to environmental protection and reducing costs for their families and society.
According to EVNHCMC representatives, customers can now access all electricity services anytime, anywhere, and 24/7. All information regarding electricity, including meter reading schedules, power supply schedules, request submissions, and tracking the progress of electricity services such as new electricity purchase contracts; contract changes/additions; contract renewals/terminations; temporary power outages; metering equipment inspection and testing; and monitoring electricity consumption, are all available online.
For customers with high electricity consumption through dedicated substations, EVNHCMC also provides daily electricity usage charts, power consumption charts, current charts, power factor charts, etc., every 30 minutes to allow customers to remotely monitor the power system in near real-time. Providing this information is crucial for utilizing this data in production and business operations. In addition, through the EVNHCMC CSKH application, electricity customers can quickly receive notifications of abnormal situations in the power system to coordinate with the power sector for timely inspection and handling, minimizing power outages, ensuring stable, continuous, and safe power supply, and improving power supply reliability.
“In the coming time, the city's electricity sector will continue to upgrade and add more advanced features to make it easier for customers to use. For example, improving the responsiveness of services, tracking the route of electricity repair technicians, making free calls through the App… Especially, providing advanced consultation support and allowing customers to choose their consultants through the App,” emphasized Mr. Phan Hoang San - Director of the Customer Care Center of EVNHCMC.
