The main crops of Chau Thanh and Hao Duoc communes are rubber, cassava and fruit trees. Commerce, services and livestock farming also have great potential for development.

Chau Thanh and Hao Duoc communes both bear a strong traditional imprint with festivals, historical relics, and architectural works. Transport infrastructure is being invested in to create momentum for strong development, especially in the fields of high-tech agriculture and trade, promising to soon become the economic and cultural center of the province.

The commune has an area of 92km² and a population of 17,746 people. Like Chau Thanh and Hao Duoc communes, Long Chu commune has agricultural strengths with crops such as rubber, cassava and fruit trees thanks to its diverse terrain including agricultural land, border forests and canals. Not only that, Long Chu commune also has the potential to develop border trade and services for international trade due to its location bordering Cambodia.

Long Chu Commune is a place of unique cultural exchange between ethnic groups. The culture in Long Chu still retains its characteristics with festivals and historical relics. The infrastructure system is being upgraded to facilitate traffic connections. If exploited and promoted well, the commune will become an important trading point, contributing to the overall development of the province./.
