Alley 1 has been upgraded and looks much nicer thanks to the contributions of the local people.
According to Comrade Pham Duong, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thoi An Dong Ward, after the merger of Thoi An Dong Ward, Tra Noc Ward, and Tra An Ward to form Thoi An Dong Ward, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward quickly stabilized its organization, issued operating regulations; reviewed effective movements and models to continue maintaining their implementation, aiming to take good care of the people's lives and build a civilized residential area.
Furthermore, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward launched a campaign encouraging the Front and political and social organizations to coordinate with the Party Committee and People's Committees of the areas to register and carry out projects and tasks to celebrate the Party Congress, the Front, and political and social organizations' congresses. Through this campaign, the Front and political and social organizations of the ward registered to carry out many projects and tasks: building houses, upgrading alleys, installing flagpoles and lighting systems, etc. These projects and tasks bring practical benefits, contributing to better care for the people's lives and urban beautification.
The project to upgrade alleyways 2, 3, and 4 in Area 4 (formerly Tra Noc) was carried out with a total contribution of 125 million VND mobilized by the Ward Veterans Association, along with the local Party Committee and People's Committee. Mr. Pham Van Ngay, Vice Chairman of the Thoi An Dong Ward Veterans Association, stated: “The Association coordinated with local officials to hold meetings with residents to discuss the upgrade plan and the contribution methods for each household, aiming for consensus. Association members, along with local officials and residents, participated in leveling the ground to reduce project costs.”
Alley 1 in Area 6 (formerly Tra Noc) has recently been upgraded and is now in good condition. The Women's Union of the ward, in coordination with the local Party committee and People's Committee, mobilized residents to contribute over 200 million VND to upgrade the alley and install a new flagpole. Ms. Huynh Thi Thanh Phuong, a resident of Area 6, shared: “Previously, the alley was low-lying and often flooded during heavy rains. Thanks to the efforts of officials at all levels in upgrading the alley, it is now more convenient and safer for residents to travel.”
To celebrate the upcoming Party Congress at all levels, the Farmers' Association of Thoi Thuan ward, in coordination with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thoi Thuan area, mobilized residents to install 62 flagpoles, totaling 15 million VND. According to Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Thanh, a resident of Thoi Thuan area, the local people became more aware of the meaningfulness of the initiative when ward and local officials campaigned, and they wholeheartedly contributed to ensure that flag displays on holidays and festivals are uniform and dignified, creating a more beautiful residential area.

These include: the Ward Fatherland Front coordinating the construction of a "Great Solidarity" house for a household facing housing difficulties, installing streetlights, erecting flagpoles, replacing old flags, and repairing subsided roads. The Ward Veterans Association coordinating the upgrading of alleys and the installation of solar-powered streetlights. The Ward Women's Union coordinating the upgrading of alleys, the installation of flagpoles, and the installation of lighting systems. The Farmers' Association coordinating the dredging and clearing of waterways to serve agricultural production and the installation of flagpoles. The Ward Youth Union coordinating the upgrading of alleys and planting of trees…
Implementing a two-tiered local government model, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and political and social organizations in Thoi An Dong ward have gradually stabilized their organizational structure; focused on propaganda and mobilization; and united members, affiliates, and all strata of the people to participate in patriotic emulation movements and campaigns launched by the Front. Through this, they have promoted the strength of national unity, strengthened confidence in the Party's leadership, and encouraged all strata of the people to participate in building a more developed Thoi An Dong ward.
