Ninh Binh shines on the world tourism map.

Ninh Binh tourism continues to affirm its shining position on the international tourism map as many famous landmarks such as the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex, Tam Coc - Bich Dong, and Bai Dinh Pagoda have been honored by the global travel platform TripAdvisor in the "Travellers' Choice 2025" awards system.

This is a significant milestone, demonstrating the persistent efforts of Ninh Binh's tourism industry in elevating the destination's brand, achieving sustainable development, and integrating internationally.

On October 15th, the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism announced that, according to the latest announcement from TripAdvisor – the world's leading reputable travel platform – the Trang An Scenic Landscape Complex has excellently won the "Best of the Best" title, the highest category of the "Travelers" Choice Awards 2025 system, awarded to the top 1% of destinations in the world.

Often described as a "picturesque landscape in the heart of the ancient capital of Hoa Lu," Trang An captivates visitors with the magical beauty of its cave system, winding rivers amidst limestone mountains, and rare tranquility. International tourists appreciate not only the unique natural scenery but also the friendly, safe, civilized, and sustainable approach to tourism – a prime example of heritage conservation combined with green and sustainable tourism development.

The "Best of the Best" award is clear evidence of Ninh Binh's capacity to manage, preserve, and promote the value of the Trang An World Cultural and Natural Heritage Site, affirming Ninh Binh's brand on the global tourism map.

Along with Trang An, two other famous destinations in Ninh Binh, Tam Coc - Bich Dong and Bai Dinh Pagoda, were also awarded the title of "Travellers' Choice - Outstanding Destination of 2025" by TripAdvisor, placing them in the Top 10% of the world's most popular destinations.

Tam Coc - Bich Dong stands out with its harmonious blend of rivers, mountains, and rice paddies—a place where every photograph captures the beauty of a vibrant ink painting. International tourists consider it the most unique destination in Southeast Asia for experiencing Vietnamese nature and culture.

Meanwhile, Bai Dinh Pagoda, the largest Buddhist center in Vietnam, also proudly received the "Travellers' Choice - Outstanding Destination 2025" award along with the "blue checkmark" symbol from TripAdvisor. With its magnificent architecture, massive scale, and numerous Asian and Vietnamese records, Bai Dinh is a spiritual symbol of the Buddhist land of Trang An, and a leading spiritual tourism destination in the region.

With the international awards and titles achieved, this is a recognition of the comprehensive efforts of Ninh Binh's tourism industry, and is the inevitable result of the process of innovation, development, and integration of Ninh Binh tourism in recent years.

Over the past period, Ninh Binh has made efforts to build its tourism brand and identity: Implementing the destination marketing strategy "Ninh Binh - The Exquisite Beauty of the Ancient Capital"; successfully organizing major events such as the National Tourism Year 2021, Ninh Binh Tourism Week "Golden Colors of Tam Coc - Trang An", and the Forestival Festival 2025, contributing to the widespread promotion of the image of a safe, friendly, and hospitable destination. Strengthening international market research and promotion: Actively organizing promotional delegations to Germany, the UK, Japan, South Korea, and India; participating in trade fairs such as ITB Berlin, WTM London, and VITM Hanoi; and especially the Indian Federation of Travel Agents Conference held in Ninh Binh in early 2025 with over 400 delegates, which opened up opportunities for extensive international cooperation.

In addition, Ninh Binh has been focusing on developing distinctive tourism products by diversifying tourism types such as cultural-spiritual tourism, ecological tourism, resort tourism, community tourism, MICE tourism, and night-time economy tourism; while also developing OCOP products, traditional craft villages, and night tours of Bai Dinh - Trang An - Hoa Lu ancient town.

Focusing on training high-quality human resources, promoting digital transformation, and developing smart tourism are also key tasks that Ninh Binh is concentrating on. During the 2020-2025 period, the tourism sector organized 80 professional training courses, with over 20,000 participants. In collaboration with Hoa Lu University, they opened majors in Tourism and Hotel & Restaurant Management, enhancing the service capacity and professionalism of the workforce. Ninh Binh has built a digital tourism ecosystem, implemented free Wi-Fi, QR codes, virtual tour guides, cashless payments, and a tourism security camera system, aiming towards a smart and sustainable tourism model.

Thanks to its synchronized management, promotion, investment, and training, Ninh Binh has consistently been recognized by Forbes, Trips to Discover, and the Philip Kotler Awards as a "Globally Influential Destination," contributing to strengthening Ninh Binh's image as "The Exquisite Beauty of the Ancient Capital" on the world tourism map.

In the first nine months of 2025, Ninh Binh welcomed 16.8 million visitors, an increase of 27.9% compared to the same period last year; tourism revenue reached 17,895 billion VND, an increase of 41.08%.

With outstanding achievements and prestigious international awards, Ninh Binh is gradually asserting its position as a center for heritage, ecological, cultural, and religious tourism in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, aiming to welcome 30 million visitors by 2030, including at least 5 million international tourists, becoming a leading destination in the region and the world.
