Ninh Binh deploys survey to collect information on socio-economic status of 53 ethnic minorities

On July 1, the Provincial Statistics Office deployed a survey to collect information on the socio -economic situation of 53 ethnic minorities in 2024 in Nho Quan district and Tam Diep city.

This is the third survey under Decision No. 02/QD-TTg dated January 5, 2015 of the Prime Minister approving the Project on Investigation and Collection of Information on the Socio-Economic Status of 53 Ethnic Minorities. The two previous surveys were conducted in 2015 and 2019.

In Ninh Binh province, there are 34 survey areas selected by the General Statistics Office in 8 communes in 2 districts and cities, of which: Tam Diep city selected samples to survey all ethnic minority households in 1 survey area of Yen Son commune; Nho Quan district has 32 survey areas (960 ethnic minority households) selected samples to survey 30 ethnic minority households/survey area and 1 survey area selected samples to survey 40 ethnic minority households/survey area.

The investigators went to households to collect information on: Population demographics; education; migration; marriage; use of health insurance; employment; information on housing and living conditions; residential land, production land; some main livestock; household access to public services...

After collecting information from household samples, the Provincial Statistics Office organized a workshop for investigators and supervisors to gain experience so that future information collection would be more effective.

On the first day of the campaign, provincial investigators completed collecting information from 34/1,092 households.
