Ninh Phuoc: Caring for the lives of people with revolutionary contributions

Imbued with the moral of “When drinking water, remember its source”, in recent years, Ninh Phuoc district has always paid attention to and implemented synchronously and effectively the work of “Repaying gratitude”, helping families with preferential policies and people with revolutionary contributions to stabilize their lives with practical and meaningful actions.

Ninh Phuoc district currently has 3,394 beneficiaries of the policy. In recent years, the work of caring for beneficiaries of the policy has always been of interest to the local Party Committee and government, directing the full and timely implementation of the state's preferential regimes and policies for war invalids, sick soldiers, and relatives of martyrs; organizing home-based and centralized nursing care for beneficiaries of the policy; 100% of beneficiaries are granted health insurance cards. Many models and activities such as: Building houses of gratitude, caring for relatives of martyrs are of interest to departments, branches, and organizations. Works to honor and commemorate martyrs are focused on construction and renovation. The work of searching for and gathering martyrs is taken care of completely and affectionately. In addition, the district also creates conditions for beneficiaries of the policy to borrow capital to develop production. Up to now, 100% of beneficiaries of the policy have been able to borrow capital and receive vocational training to invest in developing production and improving their lives. Thereby, contributing to helping NCC families have a standard of living equal to or higher than the average standard of living of the community.

Along with promptly resolving policies and regimes for war invalids according to regulations, the district also promotes the "Repaying gratitude" movement, calling on agencies, units, businesses and people of all walks of life to actively participate in contributing to the fund, creating resources from the community and society together with the State to take care of material and spiritual needs of war invalids. From 2022 to present, the whole district has mobilized the "Repaying gratitude" Fund for 495 million VND. Thereby, creating a source of funding to support localities in repairing martyrs' monuments; supporting the construction and repair of houses; organizing meetings, visiting, and giving gifts to policy families and war invalids on holidays, New Year, War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27)... In addition, the district has repaired 5 houses for policy families and war invalids with a total amount of 120 million VND. Thereby, helping policy families have conditions to improve their housing and stabilize their lives. Welcoming us to his newly renovated house, Mr. Nguyen Van De, Long Binh 1 village, An Hai commune, a relative of martyr Vo Thi But, shared: Previously, the family lived in a dilapidated house, but now, with the attention of the Party and the State, the family has been supported with 20 million VND to repair the house to be more spacious.

Along with the activity of "Repaying gratitude", every year on holidays, Tet and War Invalids and Martyrs' Day, the district also organizes delegations to visit and present 2,714 gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and NCC, worth 859 million VND. Comrade Ngo Khanh, Vice Chairman of Ninh Phuoc District People's Committee, said: Towards the 76th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2023), along with the distribution of gifts from the President and the province to families of policy beneficiaries and NCC, the district also carries out many activities such as: Organizing to bring relatives of martyrs' families to visit the Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery and Binh Thuan Provincial Martyrs' Cemetery; organizing candle lighting in gratitude at the martyrs' monuments of districts and communes; organizing delegations to visit and present gifts to families of policy beneficiaries and NCC...

To contribute to taking good care of the lives of policy families and beneficiaries, in the coming time, Ninh Phuoc district will continue to mobilize the "Repaying gratitude" Fund, build houses for policy families and beneficiaries; create conditions for beneficiaries to borrow capital to develop production and stabilize their lives. Thereby, helping policy families and beneficiaries overcome difficulties, continue to promote the revolutionary tradition to build an increasingly prosperous homeland.
