The mountainous district of Bac Ai has long been known as the cradle of the Raglai people, where the largest number of Raglai people live, not only in Ninh Thuan province but also in the whole country, with more than 28,000 people, accounting for 84% of the district's population. Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Can Thi Ha, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ai district, proudly shared about the core cultural values ​​that the Raglai community here is still preserving and passing on. These are traditional agricultural rituals such as the new rice celebration, meaningful life cycle rituals, especially the grave-leaving ceremony, the filial piety ceremony with deep spiritual imprints. In addition, it is impossible not to mention the extremely rich treasure of folk performing arts with the deep sound of the ma la, the melodious sound of the gourd trumpet, the unique melodies of the lithophone, the chapi, along with folk songs, folk dances and captivating epics.
