On the evening of April 9, news from the Central Highlands General Hospital ( Dak Lak province) said that they were treating patients in the mini gas tank explosion.
Mini gas tank explosion sends 7 people to hospital
Earlier, at noon the same day, a family in village 2 (Ea Tieu commune, Cu Kuin district, Dak Lak province) organized a meal with about 20 people attending.
At around 12:30, while cooking hot pot, a mini gas tank suddenly exploded, causing a fire to break out.
Ms. PTHT (one of the burned people) said that the mini gas cylinder was exchanged by her family at the restaurant. While cooking hot pot, the back of the mini gas cylinder exploded. Although the stove and hot pot remained still, the gas from the cylinder burst into flames, causing 7 people to suffer burns in many places on their bodies, including a small child.
According to Ms. T., after the incident, everyone was taken to the Cu Kuin District Medical Center for first aid and then transferred to the Central Highlands General Hospital. Ms. T.'s mother suffered severe burns, so the family asked to be transferred to Gia Lai province for treatment at a familiar place.
"I want to share this incident to warn everyone to be extremely careful when using mini gas cylinders for cooking," said Ms. T.
