Regarding Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Radio and Television Station, according to journalist Huynh Thi Lien - Deputy Director of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Radio and Television Station (BRVT), in the past 17 years, the Journalists Association of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Radio and Television Station has always paid attention to and responded to the National Press Awards with nearly 100 works participating in the award. From these works, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Provincial Radio and Television Station has also been honored to win many awards in both visual and spoken journalism. These are works with serious and elaborate investment, many creative, vivid and attractive ways of expression for listeners and viewers.

To achieve these successes, journalist Huynh Lien said that first of all, it is the methodical and in-depth guidance of the leaders of the Provincial Journalists Association and the Radio Journalists Association. Participation and winning awards at the National Press Awards as well as press awards of central ministries and branches, and national radio and television festivals are included in the annual work directions and tasks of the agency, to serve as goals to strive for.

In the agency's emulation campaigns, this goal is also set and considered an important indicator in the emulation movement for each professional department and each journalist to strive to achieve. A methodical organization plan and specific assignments for each professional department are also issued before each press award. Based on that, the leaders of the professional departments directly direct and accompany authors and groups of authors to discover, select topics, and implement the works for the competition.

“In addition to the organization and direction, in reality, to have a quality journalistic work participating in the competition, the professional capacity of the author and the group of authors - the journalists who directly produce the work - is very important. Selecting a group of skilled reporters to participate in the implementation of large topics and perform long-term works for the competition is considered a key factor. The long-term articles that won high prizes at the recent National Press Awards of the Association of Journalists of Ba Ria-Vung Tau Radio and Television Station were all assigned to a group of capable reporters who had won prizes in previous press competitions to produce" ... - said journalist Huynh Lien.

Regarding professional matters, the Deputy Director of BRVT Radio and Television Station highly appreciated the training and fostering courses that the Vietnam Journalists Association and the BRVT Provincial Journalists Association have paid attention to organizing in recent times, equipping knowledge and skills for reporters in many fields, especially the Vietnam Journalists Association has opened training and fostering courses on experience in choosing topics, conditions and methods for creating high-quality journalistic works.

“ I think that organizing a training course to guide reporters on how to invest in creating journalistic works for competitions is very practical. Because, to have a high-quality journalistic work to compete for an award, it is necessary to be sensitive in discovering topics, investing from ideas to content, form of expression... Those factors require journalists to have skills and experience to be able to do it. We often say that this or that journalist has a "fate" with journalism awards, but in fact, it is the skills, the level, the whole process of investment and creativity of the journalist " - journalist Huynh Lien affirmed.

Emphasizing the National Press Award, the most prestigious and attractive press award today, journalist Huynh Lien assessed that local press agencies in recent years have made great strides, developed rapidly, innovated in content and form of expression according to modern, multimedia press trends. However, with the conditions of human resources and the specific mechanism of local press agencies, the National Press Award is still an attractive playground but also contains many challenges.
