This special film contributes to bringing back proud memories through cinematic language, so that every audience, wherever they are, can share in the national pride.
Prepare carefully from the beginning
On the afternoon of October 16, at the CGV Metropolis cinema (Lieu Giai, Hanoi ), when the cinema screen just turned on and the first music played, the space suddenly became silent. Many audiences clenched their hands, their eyes sparkled, their hearts were filled with excitement at the moment the stage was illuminated with the national flag.
Cinematic camera angles with frames from above, backstage, behind the orchestra or under the flash opened up a world of surprises that even the audience present that day had never seen.
Every look, smile, and drop of sweat on the faces of the artists and audiences appear real, close, and full of emotion.
The audience watched the film, met themselves again, heard familiar sounds and behind-the-scenes moments filled with love for the profession and patriotism. Through each film, some were moved, others wiped away tears. The music, the lighting, the expressions... touched the deepest thing, which is pride: The Fatherland always exists in the heart of every Vietnamese person.
At the film's launch ceremony, Comrade Le Quoc Minh, Member of the Party Central Committee, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association shared with the first audiences of the film his expectations, enthusiasm and sincere invitation so that the film can truly become a journey that spreads widely in the hearts of the people and international friends. "Fatherland in the Heart: The Concert Film" is a profound gratitude to the Fatherland and the sacred values of the nation.
Cinematic camera angles with frames from above, backstage, behind the orchestra or under the flash opened up a world of surprises that even the audience present that day had never seen.
From the National Concert night at My Dinh Stadium with more than 50,000 audiences singing together, it seems that, until now, the emotions are still intact in each of us. It is pride, emotion, joy. Time may pass, but the memories and love for the Fatherland are still burning in the hearts of every Vietnamese.
Therefore, the program's organizers have been wondering how to make that sacred emotion continue to last, spread and live forever in the hearts of the people, especially the young generation.
“Right from the beginning, the Organizing Committee has prepared very carefully through every frame, camera angle, sound, light…”, comrade Le Quoc Minh emphasized.
Sharing about the process of making the film, comrade Le Quoc Minh said: Right from the idea of the music night, the Organizing Committee clearly determined a program of scale and standards, meticulous and attractive in every detail. Therefore, from stage design, sound and light arrangement to song and artist selection, everything was carefully prepared.
Besides the grandeur, the Organizing Committee also aimed for a spiritual symbol so that everyone could join in the patriotism, national pride, and gratitude for the sacrifices of previous generations for today's peace and independence. After the music night ended, in front of the source of emotions that were so strong, beautiful, and constantly spreading, the idea of making a film was soon born.
Comrade Le Quoc Minh shared: “We understand that normally, to make a complete film requires a lot of time and effort. In this case, the entire crew worked with the highest speed, responsibility and emotion so that the heat of the event would not cool down. Every frame and angle showed respect and pride.”
The production crew emotionally shared that during the editing process, the image of the audience singing the National Anthem made the whole crew choke up, because it was like the voice of the Fatherland.
Present at the film premiere, General Director of the Concert "Fatherland in the Heart" Dang Le Minh Tri said that, to him, the film is an independent work with a cinematic breath and musical beat.
The director expressed: “I used to think that the emotions of the My Dinh night could only be lived in that moment, among thousands of people singing together. However, enjoying the film, I realized that there are values that still linger in every look, every hand beat, every musical note. The cinematic language has contributed to preserving the most beautiful spirit of the performance in a subtle, profound way, touching deeply the emotions of each person.”
For the young director, “Fatherland in the Heart” is the most special project of his career because in addition to professional and technical factors, it also has the power of empathy - a value that cannot be staged.
A different experience…
If the concert night witnessed the explosion, harmony, and color, the movie gives the audience the opportunity to feel it again with their heartbeat. In the theater, the sound is processed according to cinema standards, every voice, every music, and every moment the entire audience in My Dinh Stadium cheered loudly were clear and full.
In particular, many angles were taken by drones and close-up cameras, allowing viewers to see for the first time things that even the audience that day had never seen before: Artists waiting in the backstage light, tears silently falling, eyes shining when looking up at the national flag...
The film crew did not edit the content of the event, but breathed into it a cinematic breath, giving wings to the music and images to create a memorable collective memory. More importantly, the audience saw themselves, their compatriots, in the feeling that everyone was singing each note to the song of the Fatherland.
With this project, Nhan Dan Newspaper once again affirms its pioneering role in building a sustainable media-cultural-artistic product ecosystem, honoring creativity, aiming to spread emotions, raise awareness and connect people with the positive energy of faith and passionate patriotism. When the film reached its final minutes, the applause resounded like waves throughout the auditorium.
Leaving the theater, people's hearts were still burning. It was even more touching and meaningful because "The Fatherland in the Heart: The Concert Film" contained so much responsibility and kindness. All profits from ticket sales will be transferred by the Organizing Committee to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to help share with the people who had to struggle during the recent storm and flood.
The journey of spreading music and love for the Fatherland has lit up the warmth in the difficult days, so that every source of emotion yesterday, today and tomorrow becomes words of love, arms of solidarity and mutual love sent to comrades and fellow countrymen.
Show patriotism through concrete actions
Immediately after the premiere, representatives of the film production team had a meeting with the audience. Comrade Le Quoc Minh expressed: When Nhan Dan Newspaper organized a series of events to celebrate major holidays, we realized the importance of reaching young people with modern language and technology. Young people are very patriotic and they demand new things, so the combination of traditional stories with new technology is necessary to attract their attention. We realized that through the concert "Fatherland in the Heart" is such a program.
Personally, I have never participated in a performance that reached more than 50,000 viewers like the recent show. Statistics on social media platforms show that after two months, there were about 2.5 billion views. After the film is released, I believe the spread of the show will be even stronger.
As artists honored to perform at the concert "Fatherland in the Heart", singer Quang Minh (Oplus band) and child singer Dang Kim Thien Kim could not contain their overflowing emotions when reliving the emotional moments at My Dinh National Stadium through the movie of the same name.
Actor Viet Hoang - a familiar face to many moviegoers confided that on the day of the concert, he was a bit regretful for not being present, however, by watching the film "Fatherland in the Heart", he had the opportunity to contemplate and feel the program from many angles. He was very impressed with the new songs, contributing to multiplying the pride and patriotism in generations of viewers.

Joining in to share with the audience, director Vu Liem mentioned the difficulties of the crew making the concert “Fatherland in the Heart”. He said that director Minh Tri, three months ago, shared with him that it was a difficult challenge, but he did not expect it to be so difficult, with a huge amount of work.
Filmmakers can only partially recreate those difficulties, and hope to recreate the most realistic footage to spread patriotism to everyone.
Co-director Nguyen Manh Tuan expressed that the film wishes to convey the message of patriotism of each individual to turn into concrete actions. As the person who received special attention at the film premiere, director Dang Le Minh Tri expressed: We have this success thanks to everyone. There are many people who contributed to the program but they did not appear here. They did everything for patriotism. And he hopes that everyone will work together to make even more wonderful things.
