3F (Feed-Farm-Food), F2F (Farm to Fork) agriculture, also known as "From farm to table", promises to create attraction and become an agricultural trend that many farmers are aiming for. To better understand this issue, Quang Binh Newspaper reporter had a conversation with Mr. Tran Quoc Tuan, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development.
With the advantage of traceability compared to traditional production, the 3F agricultural management model has created a supply chain from production to consumers, becoming the "key" to realizing the model of modern agriculture, smart agriculture.
Enterprises and production facilities applying this model not only improve economic efficiency but also contribute to environmental protection and social development. The close connection between the Feed-Farm-Food stages helps reduce waste, use resources efficiently and create high-quality products for consumers.
Although there are still many challenges and obstacles, the number of models is still limited compared to the potential, but with its many advantages, the 3F agricultural management model "From farm to table" is promising to become a trend that businesses and farmers are aiming for in agricultural production today.
Currently, in the province, a number of enterprises and cooperatives have implemented the 3F agricultural management model, such as: Tuan Linh Clean Mushroom Production and Agricultural Business Cooperative (Bo Trach) with processed mushroom products such as mushroom tea, dried mushrooms, etc.; Tam Sen Safe Agriculture Cooperative (Bo Trach) develops herbal pig farming and processes sausages, spring rolls, etc. from herbal pigs; Vu Trung Farm (Le Thuy) has a closed-loop farming process from breeding, caring for and processing fresh meat products to supply to major supermarkets in the province; Quang Binh Digital Agriculture Cooperative (Dong Hoi City) with Biscotis leaf cake products that have standardized processes from growing ramie leaves and processing products; An Nong Farm (Bo Trach) builds an organic production chain, while supporting local farmers to develop clean linkage chains as well as developing types of experiential services, agricultural eco-tourism to introduce products, etc.
The implementation of the agricultural management model "From farm to table" has a lot of potential but still has many challenges. Although there is a large room for development, the number of 3F models in the province is still not much, the enterprises and production facilities implementing 3F are still small in scale, not commensurate with the potential.
The reason is that this is a rather risky and complicated investment model, requiring a large amount of capital. In addition, the production objects such as plants and animals are also dependent on weather, environmental and disease factors, which greatly affects production efficiency.
“Farm to table” is considered as the supply chain to bring agricultural products from the producer to the consumer’s table through agricultural production, collection, processing, packaging, storage, transportation, wholesale and retail. These stages are supported by marketing, logistics, finance and other support services.
Despite facing many challenges, the 3F agricultural production model is currently attracting great attention and is also a promising direction for farmers in the province in the future.
From the support capital sources of the Central and the province, the department has supported enterprises, cooperatives and farmers in the province to expand production scale, diversify products, and increase product value through a closed cycle from production, processing and product consumption.
In particular, digital transformation in agricultural production is considered one of the key tasks to create competition as well as opportunities to change production thinking from small-scale, fragmented, inefficient, and lacking chain linkages to advanced, modern agriculture.
Software, agricultural IOT technology, and automation equipment in production are also favorable factors that help the 3F model in the province become more and more complete.
Quang Binh currently has 50 high-tech agricultural cooperatives, 80 cooperatives participating in production linkages and product consumption for members; 168 OCOP products have been recognized, of which 28 products have achieved 4 stars, 140 products have achieved 3-star OCOP.
Many local agricultural products have gradually created their brands and positions in the market, such as Nhi Nguyen organic hill chicken, Tam Sen herbal pork, Lam Huong dried sweet potatoes, An Nong clean vegetables, various types of gymnema sylvestre and ca gai leo extracts of Cu Nam Cooperative...
The province has also supported the construction of 11 OCOP product introduction and sales points in localities in the province, helping to bring local agricultural products to consumers. This is an advantage to help form and develop more new 3F agricultural models in the province in the future.
