People's Artist Ngoc Giau was moved when returning to the stage of traditional opera

On the evening of November 4, at Hong Lien theater (District 6 Cultural Center, Ho Chi Minh City), a large audience came to watch and cheer for the ancient opera "Ngu long dai pha Am Duong tran", when for the first time in the play, People's Artist Ngoc Giau appeared.

This time she confided: "I was persuaded by artists Huu Quoc and Binh Tinh, two very active young actors, so I joined to accompany them. What's even happier is that I had the opportunity to act with three generations of actresses from the Huynh Long family, namely Bach Mai, Binh Tinh and now Bella - Binh Tinh's daughter" - she excitedly said.

The appearance of People's Artist Ngoc Giau adds motivation to the artists of Huynh Long troupe.

However, due to health problems, she suffered from a hoarse voice, so her singing performance was somewhat reduced. "I was not satisfied with my performance this time, and suddenly my voice got hoarse near the performance date, probably during rehearsals" - she shared. In the play, People's Artist Ngoc Giau plays the role of a loving grandmother who appears in a dream to advise her two grandchildren.

Despite her hoarse voice, the audience still loved the appearance of People's Artist Ngoc Giau and gave her many rounds of applause when she appeared on stage.

This play was written by the late artist Bach Mai and was successfully staged on the Huynh Long stage. Now it is being restored by director Meritorious Artist Huu Quoc, with investment in the form of staging, creating a very beautiful space for the play.

Artist Binh Tinh said that Huynh Long troupe was very happy in this performance because they had the company of veteran artist Ngoc Giau.
