The appearance of artist Chi Tam as a guest judge in the "Selection" round and People's Artist Thanh Nam as a judge in the final round promises to bring new assessments and comments from talented artists in the field of reformed opera.
After 18 years, the "Golden Bell of Vong Co" contest has truly become a familiar playground for audiences who love vong co melodies. At the same time, the contest has contributed to encouraging everyone, especially the young generation, to appreciate, inherit and expand the vong co singing and don ca tai tu movements so that this unique art form of Southern culture can be preserved and developed.
Building on the successes of 18 previous editions, the 19th "Golden Bell of Traditional Music" contest was officially launched in May 2024, with the support of Saigon Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade - SAIGONBANK.
Accompanying the promotion of the "Golden Bell of Traditional Music" contest in 2024 is the "Golden Bell of Traditional Music" Gala. This is an opportunity to gather and connect generations of contestants and famous artists, a source of pride for the journey of igniting passion and raising the dreams of the "Golden Bell of Traditional Music".

The HTV "Audition" round received entries online, expanding the scope of works and the number of test clips, creating convenience for candidates to show their talents; at the same time, there was interaction and weekly feedback from the Board of Judges to help candidates complete their best test.
In particular, the entries are not only limited to the judges' scores but also widely evaluated by the audience through weekly voting on the program's fanpage.
Director Nguyen Minh Hai - Head of HTV's Arts Department commented, "The improvements of the "Audition" round have contributed to spreading the program to a wide audience, motivating contestants to practice hard to have the most outstanding performance, contestants will also grasp the tastes of the audience on the media - a necessary skill for young artists in the current period of strong digital transformation."
The jury of this year's competition has been rejuvenated, especially with the participation of the "Golden Bells of Traditional Opera" from previous seasons... These changes contribute to "improving the quality" of the participating contestants as well as helping the program spread more widely and receive more attention from the public who love traditional opera.
SELECTION ROUND :
Filming: on July 23, 24, 25, 26, 2024 at the Television Theater Studio, Ho Chi Minh City Television Station.
Broadcast at 9:00 p.m. every Sunday: August 4, 11, 18, 25, 2024 on HTV9 and all HTV digital platforms for viewers to conveniently watch and vote for the contestants.
The Jury will select 8 contestants to enter the Final Round after 4 nights of competition.
FINAL ROUND :
The Jury of the "Selection" round becomes the Coaching Board, providing professional support on singing voice, pronunciation, enunciation, rhythm arrangement, phrasing; performance techniques, choreography, body shape... for the contestants.
Finals 1, 2, 3 will be broadcast live at 9:00 p.m. on Sundays: September 8, 15, 22, 2024. Contestants will participate in competitions according to each specified topic. After each competition night, 2 contestants will be eliminated.
The final ranking and award ceremony will be broadcast live at 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2023, at the Television Theater, Ho Chi Minh City Television Station, with 3 contestants competing to select: Golden Bell, Silver Bell, Bronze Bell.
