Established in 2016, this cafe always attracts customers thanks to its space and experiences dedicated to fans of JK Rowling's famous series.
The space of the cafe recreates many familiar details such as the mailbox at Harry Potter's house, Diagon Alley, and the wall hanging with pictures of characters in the book. At the same time, the cafe uses low-toned yellow light to create a cozy and classic feeling, suitable for the mysterious atmosphere of the wizarding world .
According to the cafe representative, customers can borrow free robes, hats and wands to take pictures. In addition to dressing up, customers can also play Harry Potter-themed board games, have tarot cards read or take potion-making classes.
The bar serves drinks with names based on familiar elixirs in stories such as Amortentia (Love Potion), Dementor Kiss (Death Kiss) or Felix Felicis (Happy Potion).
The most prominent drink is butterbeer, the iconic drink that is often served when the characters visit Hogsmeade. Butterbeer has a unique taste and is served in both alcoholic and non-alcoholic versions to suit different groups of customers.
Nguyen Ngoc Gia Linh ( Hanoi ) said this was her third time returning to the shop. What impressed her most was not the usual check-in areas, but... the restroom. This seemingly uninvested space was decorated according to the setting of the movie "Chamber of Secrets", simulating the scene where Harry Potter went down to the basement to search for Lord Voldemort.
Not only attracting domestic customers, this address is also a destination visited by many foreign tourists. Skye James and George Adams, two tourists from England, learned about the shop through TikTok and Google when searching for Harry Potter-related locations in Hanoi.
They said the space felt familiar, reminiscent of Warner Bros. Studio in London. Adams said the butterbeer tasted very similar to the ones they had in the US and UK.
“This area is just like Diagon Alley, I've been there before and it looks very similar,” said Skye.
The cafe is open from 8am to 11pm every day of the week. The menu costs from around 80,000 to 150,000 VND per drink. In addition to Harry Potter-inspired drinks, the cafe also serves some more popular drinks such as coconut coffee, egg coffee, Americano coffee, latte...
