The person who connects love and connects workers with businesses

With a petite figure and a gentle smile, Ms. Le Thi Huong, Deputy General Director and Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union, is the "soul" of a group of nearly 1,000 workers at the Italian-Asia Door Industry Company Limited (Tan Hiep Ward, Ho Chi Minh City).

With more than twenty years of working with the company, Ms. Le Thi Huong has left her mark with her dedication, creativity and a heart always towards the employees.

Born in Thanh Hoa in a family of 5 sisters, Ms. Huong is the eldest child, so she soon shouldered the responsibility and left her hometown to start a career in the South at the age of 17 with a degree in Finance - Accounting. Having experienced many positions, jobs and many businesses, she has constantly learned to improve herself, affirm her abilities, live simply, be close and always listen and share.

“I also come from a working class background, so I understand their hardships. After working for many companies, I stopped at Asia-Italy Door Technology because this place always cares about the rights and welfare of workers. Here, I also received support from the company’s leaders, as well as the superior Trade Union organization,” Ms. Huong shared.

In her role as Union President, Ms. Huong has advised the Board of Directors to build many welfare policies such as: improving the quality of shift meals, supporting workers in difficulty, building cultural and sports areas, and other extraordinary reward policies. In particular, the initiative of "Union meals" organized once a month by her directly going into the kitchen with the workers has become a unique feature of the unit - a place where everyone sits together, shares the joy of work, and increases collective cohesion.

Sharing about the female President of the company's Trade Union, Mr. Hsieh Mao Shan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Italian - Asian Door Industry Co., Ltd., acknowledged that the grassroots Trade Union led by Ms. Huong is always a harmonious bridge between workers and businesses. Initiatives such as "suggestion boxes", periodic dialogues or quick response Zalo groups help workers have a channel for frank exchange, unit leaders promptly resolve problems, and limit labor disputes. In particular, many of her proposals have been supported by the Board of Directors; including improvements in working conditions, upgrading restrooms, arranging rest and relaxation areas, and improving the green - clean - cool environment for workers.

Ms. Hoang Thi Thuyen, a worker directly involved in production at the factory, said that in addition to taking care of the material life, Union President Le Thi Huong also takes care of and supports many workers and laborers to overcome difficulties. Activities such as Workers' Month, Tet Reunion, Ao Dai Festival, Workers' Sports Festival or the program of forming the national flag and map of Vietnam with more than 1,000 participants have spread the spirit of patriotism and solidarity in the company. "She is the one who guides most of the workers here, taking care of the best life for workers and laborers; she is an example for us to learn and follow to become useful people for society," Ms. Thuyen shared.

Thanks to her persistent efforts, Ms. Huong has received many Certificates of Merit from various levels of the industry, local authorities of Binh Duong province (old) and recently was honored to be one of the 10 most outstanding examples in the country to receive the first "Dynamic, Creative, Responsible Female Union Member" Award in 2025 presented by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

When asked about her achievements, Ms. Huong confided: “What I do is a collective effort, a result of the solidarity and unanimity of my fellow workers. I am just a small contributor to connecting everyone together.”

To the workers, the female Union President is not only a responsible and courageous leader, but also a connector, caring and exemplary; always listening, sharing and devoted to the workers, businesses and community.

Commenting on the female union official who is always devoted to union members, Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan, Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, said that this is a typical example of dynamism, creativity, and affection. Ms. Huong's technical innovations have benefited the enterprise by billions of dong; at the same time, helped workers have more practical benefits.

In particular, the coordination of vocational training courses, labor safety, and soft skills not only ensures labor safety but also contributes to increasing productivity and improving product and service quality. In Ms. Huong, people clearly see love, sharing, and solidarity.

Thanks to her sincerity, compassion, responsibility and creativity, Ms. Le Thi Huong has created the image of a typical female Trade Union official in the new period; contributing to spreading the good values ​​of the workers, civil servants and laborers' movement in the whole country in general, and Ho Chi Minh City in particular.
