That was the request of comrade Pham Van Thieu, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Steering Committee of the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025, at the direct and online meeting on preparations for this important event on the morning of October 27.

Co-chairing the provincial bridge were Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Lam Van Bi, Huynh Chi Nguyen, Le Van Su and Ngo Vu Thang, along with leaders of relevant provincial departments, branches and sectors. The meeting was connected online to the Hanoi bridge, with the participation of Comrade Nguyen Viet Thang, former Deputy Minister of Fisheries, Chairman of the Vietnam Fisheries Association, Deputy Head of the Festival Steering Committee.

At the meeting, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST) presented the organization plan and program content of the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025; at the same time, approved the draft assignment of tasks of the Organizing Committee, communication progress, reception and logistics plan.

The Department of Finance reported on the draft plan to mobilize sponsorship; the Department of Science and Information Technology on the series of events CamaUP'25 - Ca Mau Province Startup Festival 2025, the International Conference "Innovation - Sustainable Development of Vietnam's Sea Crab Industry" and the contest "Setting a Record for Ca Mau Crab". Other departments and branches also reported on the progress of preparations for activities within the framework of the Festival.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Pham Van Thieu requested relevant departments, branches and localities to focus highly on preparation work, ensuring that tasks are implemented on schedule, thoughtfully and effectively according to plan.

“ The 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025, scheduled to open on the evening of November 16 with the theme “Ca Mau Crab - Forest scent, sea taste”, is a key cultural, economic and tourism event of the province, contributing to promoting the image of the land and people of Ca Mau to domestic and foreign tourists” - The Head of the Steering Committee emphasized.

From now until the Festival, media agencies need to step up propaganda in the press and social platforms, helping people and tourists better understand the culinary culture, OCOP products and the socio-economic value of the Ca Mau Crab industry. Along with that, the province continues to strengthen connections with domestic and foreign businesses and investors, gradually perfecting the crab production value chain, enhancing the competitiveness of the Ca Mau Crab brand in the domestic and international markets.

In addition, the application of science - technology and innovation in crab farming and processing is identified as an important direction, contributing to improving productivity, quality and product value. The festival is also an opportunity to promote the potential and strengths of Ca Mau in terms of economy, culture, tourism and environment; at the same time, calling on organizations and individuals to invest and cooperate in sustainable development with the locality.

Comrade Pham Van Thieu requested departments and branches to develop specific plans, clearly assign responsibilities, strengthen inspection and supervision, ensure absolute safety for people and tourists, food hygiene and safety, security and order for the series of events of the 2nd Ca Mau Crab Festival in 2025 to be successful, impressive and full of identity.
