Previously, the City Red Cross Society issued a decision to establish the Da Nang City Red Cross Disaster Response Team (abbreviated as PDRT Team) on the basis of merging the Disaster Response Team of the Da Nang City Red Cross Society and Quang Nam Province (old). The PDRT Team consists of 30 members, operating under Regulation No. 314/TUHCTD, dated November 2, 2024 of the Central Executive Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society on "Organization and operation of the Disaster Response Team".
According to information from the Central Hydrometeorological Station, on the morning of October 27, the water level on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon River is rising rapidly. It is forecasted that in the next 6 - 12 hours, the flood on the Vu Gia - Thu Bon River will rise above alert level 3; the Han River above alert level 2; and the Tam Ky River will be approximately at alert level 1.
In the next 12 - 24 hours, floods on Vu Gia - Thu Bon River will continue to peak at level 3 above alert level; Han River will be above alert level 2, then fluctuate at a high level; Tam Ky River will be above alert level 1.
Warning of deep and widespread flooding in low-lying areas along rivers, flooding in urban areas. Especially in the communes: Que Phuoc, Nong Son, Duy Xuyen, Thu Bon, Xuan Phu, Thanh My, Thuong Duc, Ha Nha, Phu Thuan, Vu Gia, Dai Loc, Go Noi, Dien Ban Tay, Dien Ban Bac, Hoa Tien... There is a very high risk of flash floods and landslides on steep slopes in mountainous areas of Da Nang city.
