Phu Quoc National Park organizes 3,555 patrols to manage and protect forests.

On the morning of October 28, Phu Quoc National Park announced that since the beginning of the year, it has organized 3,555 patrols, managed and protected forests, with 8,438 participants.

Phu Quoc National Park monitors, manages and protects forests in key areas.

Phu Quoc National Park has detected and reported 67 violations to the authorities, of which the Provincial Police Economic Police Department handled 1 case; the Forest Protection Department of Region II handled 38 cases; the Phu Quoc Special Zone People's Committee handled 26 cases; and the Phu Quoc Special Zone Police handled 1 case.

In addition, Phu Quoc National Park has coordinated with relevant agencies to dismantle and relocate many illegal constructions and structures such as fences, temporary houses, prefabricated houses, house foundations, house frames made of round trees, etc.; handled 1,244 plants of various types, removed 257 wild animal traps; mobilized 2 violators to voluntarily dismantle 154m2 of concrete road and 30m of B40 fence; temporarily seized 757kg of traditional medicine and 665 round trees of various types; coordinated to inspect and examine the scenes of 19 violations.

Phu Quoc National Park has also implemented silvicultural projects, such as: Investigation and survey to determine forest carbon reserves according to forest status to prepare for participation in the carbon credit program; statistical investigation of terrestrial invertebrate species; construction of a database of forest resource changes and biodiversity monitoring; mapping the distribution of endemic tree species; investigation of the current ecological status of Melaleuca forests to serve the monitoring and assessment of biodiversity changes.

Since the beginning of 2025, Phu Quoc National Park has had 5 fires, with a total area of ​​about 7.87 hectares. The current situation of fires in cogon grass, bushes, and ground cover... does not affect forest resources.
