The 1st Congress of Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union

On October 28, the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union (An Giang province) held its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term.

Phu Quoc Special Zone Party Committee presented the congress with a banner.

In the period of 2023 - 2025, the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union visited and supported 9,300 union members and workers, with a total amount of over 3.45 billion VND. The activities "Tet Sum Vay - Spring Tie" are held annually.

The Union also presented over 5,300 gifts to union members and workers, with a total value of 2.55 billion VND; built and repaired 12 Union Shelters, with a total cost of 550 million VND.

In the new term, the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union strives to develop 5,000 new union members; have at least 85% of business units with trade unions qualified to represent, negotiate, and sign collective labor agreements; and have at least 70% of workers participate in learning and improving their professional qualifications and skills.

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation to appoint the Executive Committee of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union consisting of 17 comrades. Comrade Le Hoang Nam holds the position of Chairman of the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union for the 2025-2030 term.
