Leaders of the Safety Department, Technical Department and Da Nang High Voltage Grid Enterprise discussed plans to fix the problem of the 110kV pole and the 22kV power line supplying electricity to the Phuoc Son highland area.

On the evening of October 28, Da Nang Electricity Company said: In recent days, heavy rains and floods have caused serious landslides in mountainous areas and flooding in the plains, affecting power supply operations.

Implementing the direction of Da Nang Electricity Company, the Regional Power Management Teams have proactively worked with the local Steering Committees for Natural Disaster Prevention and Control to implement the layoff of nearly 3,500 load transformer stations to ensure electrical safety.

In Tra My area, landslides caused the collapse and damage of nearly 15 medium and low voltage poles. In particular, in Phuoc Son area, landslides in Phuoc Hiep commune caused the collapse of a pole of the 110kV Phuoc Son - Dak Mi 4B line (pole 33) and the 22kV line connecting the grid from Hiep Duc commune to Phuoc Son commune; causing power outages in all communes from 2:00 p.m. on October 28.

Currently, the 110kV power line supplying power to Phuoc Son 110kV substation and the 22kV backup power line connecting to the Phuoc Son power grid are severely damaged. Meanwhile, the traffic routes leading to the site of the fallen power poles are being cut off, and the hills are at risk of further landslides, making them unsafe.

Faced with the above situation, Da Nang Electricity Company has sent staff from the Safety Department, the Technical Department and the Da Nang High Voltage Grid Enterprise to study and choose the optimal and safest solution to approach the site of the landslide to promptly repair the damage and restore power to the Phuoc Son area immediately after the rain stops.
