Ca Mau: Tornado destroys and damages 20 houses.

On the morning of October 29th, Mr. Mai Viet Trieu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thanh Tung commune (Ca Mau province), stated that a tornado had just occurred in the area, causing significant damage to people's property.

The tornado occurred at night, causing significant damage to the local population.

Earlier, at around 9 PM on October 28th, a strong tornado struck Thanh Tung hamlet (Thanh Tung commune).

The tornado completely destroyed 2 houses, 5 industrial shrimp farming shacks, ripped off the roofs of 15 houses, and affected 7 industrial shrimp ponds belonging to local residents; the total value of the damage is approximately 910 million VND; fortunately, there were no casualties.

Police and militia forces in Thanh Tung commune are assisting residents in overcoming the consequences of the tornado.

According to Mr. Mai Viet Trieu, immediately after the incident occurred, the Thanh Tung Commune People's Committee directed relevant agencies to quickly record the scene, assist in cleanup, and ensure the safety of the power grid and traffic for the surrounding residents.
