Over the past few days, prolonged heavy rains have caused flash floods and landslides along nearly 3km, completely isolating five villages in Ngoc Linh commune: Ngoc Nang, Mo Po, Xa Ua, Ngoc Lang, and Tu Rang. The floods have damaged roads, drainage systems, and swept away large areas of coffee, macadamia, rice, and livestock farms. Authorities are currently working urgently to clear roads to reach the affected areas and deliver medicine and essential supplies to the villagers.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Man, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Quang Ngai province, said: After the landslide caused isolation, the lives of people in Ngoc Linh commune have faced many difficulties. The Department proactively called for support to mobilize resources to help people overcome the immediate challenges, ensuring that no one goes hungry or cold. The Department is coordinating with the local government to receive the goods and plans to transport them to the collection point today, then use specialized vehicles to deliver them to the commune for distribution to the people as soon as possible.
