
According to Mr. Hoang Van Dai, Deputy Director of the Center, the flood on Vu Gia - Thu Bon River ( Da Nang City) is still fluctuating around the peak level; while the flood on Bo River (Hue City) and Tra Khuc River (Quang Ngai) tends to decrease.
It is forecasted that in the next 12 hours, the flood on Vu Gia River at Ai Nghia station will peak, exceeding the alarm level 3 by 1.2m, then gradually decrease. On Thu Bon River at Cau Lau station, the water level will peak at 5.3m, exceeding the alarm level 3 by 1.3m, continuing to fluctuate at a high level. On Huong River at Kim Long station, the flood will decrease slowly but still above the alarm level 3 by 0.6m; Bo River at Phu Oc station will be below the alarm level 3 by 0.2m.
In the next 12-24 hours, floods on rivers will continue to decrease: Bo River at Phu Oc station will be 0.6m below alert level 3; Huong River at Kim Long station will be still at alert level 3; Vu Gia River at Ai Nghia station will be 0.1m below alert level 3; Thu Bon River at Cau Lau station will be still 0.6m above alert level 3. Floods on Tra Khuc River at Tra Khuc station will still fluctuate above alert level 1.
The Meteorological and Hydrological Agency warns: there is a continued risk of deep, widespread flooding in Hue City and Da Nang City; localized flooding in Quang Ngai . At the same time, there is a high risk of flash floods on small rivers and streams, and landslides in mountainous areas of the provinces from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai.
