Specifically, at around 2 PM on the same day, landslides occurred in multiple locations along Provincial Road 9, on the Khanh Son pass section (in Cam An commune), extending for approximately 500 meters.
Landslides and strong currents are blocking the road, making access to the scene and cleanup quite difficult. Vehicles are prohibited from passing through the area to avoid danger.

According to the Khanh Hoa Provincial Meteorological and Hydrological Station, from October 27th to 29th, the entire province of Khanh Hoa will experience moderate to heavy rain and thunderstorms, with some areas experiencing very heavy rain. Rainfall amounts will generally range from 60-100mm in the northern part of the province and from 20-60mm in the southern part.
Earlier, on the evening of October 27th, heavy rain caused landslides in several locations on the Song Pha Pass (also known as Ngoan Muc Pass, on National Highway 27, in Lam Son commune, Khanh Hoa province). Currently, the pass road is largely restored to normal, but some sections are only open to one lane of traffic. Authorities are continuing to clear the debris from the landslides. It is expected that both directions will be open to traffic by 5 PM on October 28th.
