After 3 days of intensive work with more than 20 activities, the 47th ASEAN Summit and related conferences have been a great success. The important results achieved will add vitality to the regional integration process, increase the overall strength and position of the "inclusive and sustainable" ASEAN Community in line with the theme of 2025, helping ASEAN to be ready to firmly step on the new development path with 11 members.

Taking over the ASEAN Chairmanship for 2026 from Malaysian Prime Minister, Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced the theme for the Philippines' ASEAN Year 2026 as "Navigating our future together" with three major priorities: strengthening peace and security, enhancing corridors of prosperity, and promoting people's empowerment.
Within the framework of the conference, the Vietnamese high-ranking delegation led by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh actively participated and effectively contributed to nearly 20 multilateral activities, sharing many important orientations shaping the future of ASEAN. The friendship and substantive cooperation between Vietnam and its partners were also promoted substantially through more than 20 bilateral meetings. Vietnam's contributions, proposals and initiatives focused on promoting the building of a united, self-reliant, inclusive and sustainable ASEAN Community, focusing on people-centered development, linking national development with regional development.
Thereby, Vietnam continues to demonstrate its role as a proactive, active and responsible member, making practical contributions to strengthening intra-bloc solidarity, enhancing ASEAN's central role, for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region.
On October 28, within the framework of the 47th ASEAN Summit and related Summits, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended the 28th ASEAN-China Summit, the Summit to celebrate the 50th anniversary of ASEAN-New Zealand relations, and the 5th ASEAN-Australia Summit.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh also had bilateral meetings with Brunei Darussalam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, Timor Leste Prime Minister Xanana Gusmão; and held the second annual meeting with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong...
That same evening, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and the Vietnamese delegation left Kuala Lumpur to return home, successfully concluding their working trip.
