Businesses take advantage of the space to expand genuine nutritional products
According to Euromonitor, the food supplement industry in Vietnam reached a scale of 2.4 billion USD in 2022 and is expected to have a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of about 7% in the period 2023–2028. These indicators show that consumers' demand for proactive health care is increasing, while opening up room for large enterprises to widely distribute quality nutritional products with transparent origins nationwide.
To create a foundation for this development, the Government has issued many new management policies, typically through the Law amending and supplementing the Law on Product and Goods Quality and other important regulations.
In addition, to exploit market potential and strengthen consumer confidence, cooperation from businesses is needed. Instead of developing independently, many brands have proactively expanded their distribution channels through strategic cooperation with other reputable businesses, in order to quickly bring genuine nutritional solutions closer to the community.
Accordingly, Nestlé Health Science - the health and nutrition unit of Nestlé Group and Pharmacity signed a strategic cooperation agreement in August. The event not only opened a new chapter in the relationship between Nestlé Health Science and Pharmacity but also reinforced the two brands' shared vision in improving public health.
This is an opportunity for Pharmacity to diversify its genuine product portfolio at its nationwide pharmacy system with nutritional solutions from Nestlé Health Science. Each product is researched and developed based on advanced science , meeting international standards, while ensuring transparency in origin and nutritional content.

Improving access to genuine nutritional products for Vietnamese consumers
Within the framework of the cooperation agreement, Pharmacity will become the distribution channel for scientific nutritional products imported from Switzerland, the Netherlands and Singapore by Nestlé Health Science, including: Nutren Junior (medical nutritional food for children), Peptamen (specialized medical nutritional food for people with poor absorption and impaired digestive function), and Boost Optimum (supplementary food providing balanced nutrition for the elderly).
Through this, Nestlé Health Science can strongly expand its distribution network, based on the foundation of nearly 1,000 Pharmacity GPP-certified pharmacies, along with a synchronized online sales system. This resonance helps increase the presence of genuine products and meet the growing needs of the market, while supporting consumers to quickly and conveniently access scientific nutritional solutions anywhere, anytime.
In addition to safety and quality transparency, Nestlé Health Science’s internationally-standardized nutritional solutions are also guaranteed to suit the individual health needs of each user. Pharmacity’s team of more than 5,000 professionally trained pharmacists will act as the “first screening step”, helping customers receive accurate advice, thereby choosing the right product and optimizing health care effectiveness.

Mr. Zubin Trikha, Head of Specialty Nutrition, Nestlé Health Science Vietnam said: “We believe that health is not just a destination. It is a long journey that people need to be accompanied by scientific nutritional solutions that are quality, safe and personalized according to their needs. The cooperation with Pharmacity is a strategic step to realize that vision, to bring people the opportunity to easily access reliable nutritional products and receive professional advice during the selection and shopping process.”
The size of the supplement market is expected to grow strongly in the future. Along with the Government's efforts to improve the policy mechanism on product quality management for this industry group, the cooperation and signing of agreements by enterprises demonstrates the effort to create channels for purchasing quality and reputable products for consumers. Through the signing of cooperation agreements, consumers will be brought closer to quality products with clear origins, contributing to the development of a transparent market.
