The cause of the exceptionally heavy rain in the Central provinces and cities is the combination of many weather patterns: low-level cold air, the tropical convergence zone lifting the axis from the south, and the humid easterly wind field operating at an altitude of 1,500 - 5,000m.

This is a typical weather combination that often causes prolonged heavy rains in this area.

Specifically, the southern Quang Tri area and the eastern Quang Ngai province will have rainfall of 200 - 400mm, locally over 700mm. From the night of October 30, heavy rain will gradually decrease in the south and move up to the north Central region.

According to Mr. Mai Van Khiem, from now until the end of 2025, the East Sea is expected to have about 2-3 storms or tropical depressions active, of which 1-2 are likely to directly affect our country.

During the period from now until the first half of December 2025, moderate and heavy rains are expected to continue in the Central region, mainly concentrated from Ha Tinh to Da Nang, Khanh Hoa and the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak.
