By 2 p.m. on October 27, all traffic routes in Dan Long village (Chien Dan commune) were submerged in water. Mr. Dang Viet Bao, Party cell secretary and head of Dan Long village, said that thanks to closely monitoring weather developments and being informed by village officials about storm response work No. 12, two days ago, people proactively raised valuable assets and moved livestock to high ground. "The elderly, children and sick people were evacuated to solid high-rise buildings according to the on-site relocation plan," Mr. Bao informed.

Mr. Huynh Tuan Nhat, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Chien Dan Commune, said that the functional forces have proactively followed the area, mobilizing people to prevent flooding and protect property, especially in low-lying areas at risk of deep flooding. The locations include: Old Team 1 Hamlet (Team 1A and 1B), Solidarity Teams 2, 3 and 4 (Dan Long village), the old Tam Dan market area, Chien Dan communal house area, Dan Trung village and Team 9 area (Thanh Hoa village).
According to Mr. Nhat, the commune has recommended that people proactively equip themselves with life jackets, life buoys, and floating items to ensure safety when traveling; at the same time, it has relocated households in low-lying areas to high, safe places.
"To protect property, people should proactively raise and move furniture, electronic equipment, and perishable items (such as televisions, refrigerators, washing machines, documents, papers, electronic devices, etc.); move livestock, poultry, and pets to high, safe locations to limit damage caused by flooding," Mr. Nhat emphasized.
In Tay Ho commune, on the morning of October 17, a hill behind Mr. Nguyen Luan's house in Cam Long village (Eo Gio area) collapsed. Trees and rocks fell down, directly threatening the family's property and life. Immediately, local authorities urgently evacuated all of Mr. Luan's property and family members to a safe place.
Mr. Tran Quoc Danh, Chairman of Tay Ho Commune People's Committee, informed that after checking, the commune's functional forces have evacuated 15 households in this area to a safe place.

To proactively respond to storms and floods, 15 village chiefs in Phu Ninh commune are directing 15 task forces to closely monitor heavy rains, local flooding risks and landslides. The People's Committee of Phu Ninh commune has also evacuated 14 households with a total of 54 people from landslide-prone areas.
Mr. Nguyen Huu Binh, Chairman of Phu Ninh Commune People's Committee, said that up to now, the commune has not recorded any large-scale landslides. The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue and Civil Defense of the commune continues to closely monitor the development of rain and floods, proactively update and promptly report any arising situations.
"The locality maintains a 24/7 duty, always readying forces, vehicles and materials on site to respond promptly when natural disasters occur. At the same time, continue to propagate and inform people in vulnerable areas, at risk of landslides and floods to evacuate to a safe place," said Mr. Binh.
