Da Nang welcomes over 2,000 tourists from the Westerdam cruise ship.

DNO - On December 11th, the cruise ship Westerdam, operated by Tan Hong Tourism Company, brought more than 2,000 European and American tourists to visit Da Nang.

The ship docked at Tien Sa port at 7:00 AM on December 11th. Tourists will visit famous destinations in Da Nang such as: the Marble Mountains (a special national scenic site), Hoi An ancient town, My Son temple complex, Sun World Ba Na Hills tourist area, Linh Ung Pagoda, My Khe beach, the Cathedral, Dragon Bridge, APEC Sculpture Garden Park, Cham Sculpture Museum, and points along the main roads Bach Dang and Tran Phu.

During the Westerdam's port stay, the City's Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism requested that relevant localities and units coordinate to ensure security and order, creating favorable conditions for welcoming and serving tourists.

Specifically, the Department of Construction and the People's Committees of Hai Chau, Ngu Hanh Son, Son Tra, and Hoi An wards deployed functional forces to support and ensure a safe and secure tourism environment, preventing harassment and soliciting of tourists, especially in the shuttle bus pick-up and drop-off areas. The City Tourism Promotion Center set up an information desk at the APEC Park entrance to provide free information and advice on Da Nang as a tourist destination for the group.

The cruise ship Westerdam departed Da Nang at 6 PM on the same day to continue its journey.
