This means targeting guests who stay longer, spend more and are more responsible towards the local environment and culture.
To accommodate the growing number of tourists, the UK and the US have increased entry fees. The European Union is preparing to introduce the European Travel Authorization System (ETIAS) next year with even higher fees.
Meanwhile, Japan is undergoing a series of changes, including increased visa fees and a new electronic travel permit system, which could launch in 2028.
