Bustling Phu Luong ward sports festival

On October 26, Phu Luong ward organized the 1st Sports Festival.

The congress had the participation of nearly 1,000 cadres, teachers, students, athletes and the masses participating in 18 parades and 5 performances, including: Lion and dragon dance, sports flashmob, folk dance and student aerobics.

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Phu Luong Ward La Quang Thuc affirmed that health is the most precious asset of each person, a priceless asset of each nation and people.

Following the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh, in recent years, along with focusing on socio -economic development and ensuring national defense and security, the Party Committee and government of Phu Luong ward have always paid close attention to the development of culture, physical training and sports.

Thanks to the efforts, the ward’s sports movement has developed strongly. Sports clubs in residential groups are increasingly active, attracting a large number of people to participate; many outstanding athletes of the ward have achieved high results in the city’s sports competitions.

From October 5 to 17, the Organizing Committee of the Ward Sports Festival organized 8 competitions with 441 athletes participating. The results of the whole delegation were recorded: First prize belonged to the athlete delegation of residential group 3A with 4 first prizes, 2 second prizes, 2 third prizes; Second prize belonged to the athlete delegation of residential group 11 with 2 first prizes; Third prize belonged to the athlete delegation of residential group 2A with 3 first prizes; 2 third prizes.
