Yen So Ward: Opening of the 1st Sports Congress in 2025

HNP - On the morning of October 26, at Phap Van Primary School, Yen So Ward People's Committee held the opening ceremony of the 1st Sports Festival in 2025.

Yen So ward leaders presented souvenir flags to units participating in the 1st Sports Congress.

In his opening speech, Chairman of Yen So Ward People's Committee Vu Tuan Dat said that this year's Congress took place in the context of the ward synchronously implementing the arrangement and consolidation of administrative units, stabilizing the organization, unifying population data, and standardizing the procedure settlement process. In that context, the sports movement became the "glue" that connected the community after the arrangement, fostering a civilized lifestyle, a safe and healthy environment; thereby, contributing to the sustainable and modern development of Yen So.

Exciting art performances created an exciting atmosphere at the opening ceremony.

In recent years, the physical training movement in the ward has continued to develop; sports clubs and teams have maintained effective activities; the rate of people regularly exercising is high. People in Yen So ward have gradually formed a happy, healthy and civilized lifestyle.

This Congress is a great festival for all people, an occasion to summarize and honor the movement "Physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho", an opportunity for athletes to exchange, learn, compete honestly - unitedly - nobly; at the same time, the Congress is also an important preparation step to select excellent athletes, representing Yen So ward to attend the City-level Sports Festival in the coming time.

This year's congress gathered more than 1,000 athletes, competing in 10 sports including: volleyball, table tennis, football, athletics, chess, Chinese chess, calisthenics, aerobics, tug of war and badminton. The Organizing Committee has built a scientific competition schedule, ensuring safety - fairness - transparency, while creating favorable conditions for people and fans to cheer and motivate the athletes.

Due to the professional nature, some competitions of the Congress were started from October 18, 2025, the program will take place continuously until the end of October 2025.

Chairman of the People's Committee of Vu Tuan Dat Ward requested the athletes to compete with the highest determination, strictly follow the regulations, and demonstrate the spirit of "Faster - Higher - Stronger - More united".

The organizing committee awarded prizes to athletes in chess and Chinese chess.

After the ceremony and festival, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes in a number of sports: aerobics, chess, Chinese chess... to the winning groups and individuals.
