The landslides brought rocks and soil down behind the official building of Son Lien Primary and Secondary Boarding School for Ethnic Minorities. The school has organized the evacuation of students and teachers to a safe place.
Heavy rains also caused landslides on some roads in Son Tay Thuong commune. The commune's Civil Defense Command has put up signs and barricades to prevent people from passing through to ensure their lives and property.
Today, the People's Committee of Tay Tra Bong commune has temporarily closed schools to ensure safety. The local government has directed schools to strictly implement the province's disaster prevention documents, regularly update weather developments, and maintain communication through multiple channels to respond promptly. Urgently clean up schools after the rain stops and the water recedes so that students can return to school soon.
On the afternoon of October 27, rising floodwaters flooded Highway 59, Hiep Pho Bac village, Nghia Hanh commune. Local authorities blocked the road, put up warning signs, and prevented people from passing. Schools in the commune also proactively let students stay home. Shock troops were on duty to ensure safety in this area.

Prolonged heavy rain caused serious landslides in many sections of Lo Xo Pass, leaving 37 trucks with more than 50 people stuck between landslides in the border area between Quang Ngai province and Da Nang city. This area is located in the middle of the forest, there are no houses, making daily life difficult.
On the morning of October 27, Ngoc Hoi Traffic Police Team, Traffic Police Department, Quang Ngai Provincial Police coordinated with Lo Xo Pass SOS Team to provide food and water for about 50 drivers and assistants stuck on Lo Xo Pass due to landslides causing traffic jams. 12 members of Lo Xo Pass SOS Team crossed many landslides with traffic police to bring food and water to the trapped people. The landslide volume is large, it is predicted that the pass will not be open to traffic until tomorrow. Tomorrow morning, the authorities and Lo Xo Pass SOS Team will continue to cook rice and provide supplies to support the trapped people.
