QNgTV- Prolonged heavy rains have caused serious erosion of the riverbank in Dong commune, Tra Bong district, threatening many households living along the river. Local authorities are urgently evacuating people to safety.

Heavy rains over the past few days have caused serious riverbank erosion in residential area No. 2, Phu Hoa village, Dong Tra Bong commune. The riverbank erosion stretches nearly 200m, eating into people's productive land about 50m. The landslide area is now only about 100m from people's houses, where 12 households with 21 people live.

The local authorities have urgently put up warning ropes, prohibiting people from approaching the dangerous area. They have deployed forces on duty 24/7 to monitor the situation and be ready to evacuate people if the situation becomes critical.

In Tay Tra Bong commune, in response to heavy rain, local authorities have evacuated 80 households and 132 people in areas at risk of landslides and flash floods to safety.
