Xuan Mai Commune: Nearly 1,000 people participated in the 1st Sports Festival

On the morning of October 26, Xuan Mai commune opened the first Sports Festival in 2025, with the participation of nearly 1,000 people.

Opening the Congress, Vice Chairman of Xuan Mai Commune People's Committee Chu Van Khang emphasized that the 1st Sports Congress is an opportunity to promote the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho", contributing to building a healthy, united and civilized community. This is also an opportunity to select outstanding athletes to represent Xuan Mai Commune to attend the 11th Capital Sports Congress - 2025.

The first Sports Festival of Xuan Mai commune has been focused on since the early days of implementing the two-level government model. Up to now, the commune has organized nearly 20 sports tournaments in sectors, units and grassroots levels, attracting nearly 1,000 athletes to participate and compete in 8 sports in the program of the first Sports Festival of Xuan Mai commune - 2025.

Currently, the mass sports movement of the commune is developing strongly, with more than 34% of the population participating in regular exercise. Many volleyball, badminton and martial arts clubs operate effectively, contributing to enriching the cultural and spiritual life and improving the health of the people.

The festival atmosphere was colorful, with the ceremonial block including the National Flag, the portrait of President Ho Chi Minh , the Congress flag and the red flag block leading the parade. Next were 15 force demonstration blocks representing industries, professions, armed forces, athletes, referees and 3 performance blocks performed by 200 senior members.

The festival opened with a sports and martial arts performance by Tuong Nghia Duong Club with the performances “Xuan Mai Battle Flag on the Congress Day”, “National Battle Drums” and “Two Dragons Breaking the Battle”. The elaborate and spirited performances aroused the sports spirit and pride of the people of Xuan Mai on the big festival day.

At the end of the Congress, the Organizing Committee awarded souvenir flags and commended groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing and competing. The Congress truly became a great festival, spreading the spirit of solidarity and physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho, contributing to building Xuan Mai to develop comprehensively and sustainably.
