Despite his ongoing recovery, the former England international appeared in good spirits, waving to fans with his right arm in a cast and sling. Beckham, 50, was hospitalized last week with a wrist injury he suffered while playing for England 22 years ago.

According to MailOnline , the pain had worsened in recent months due to the screw that had been implanted causing severe discomfort. He was forced to undergo surgery to remove the screw and stabilize his wrist.

Speaking to DAZN on the sidelines of the match, Beckham said: "It's an old injury that needs surgery but everything is fine." He also expressed his emotion when seeing the team he co-owns play against PSG - where he ended his playing career in 2013.

"Honestly, this is a match worth waiting for, not only for me personally but also for a lot of fans. Inter Miami facing probably the strongest team in the world right now, who could have thought of it before?" - Beckham said.

The former England captain only played for PSG for six months but still has a lot of affection for the French team: "I was only there for six months but it felt like many years. It's a real family, a special club, run by special people."

Despite not being fully fit, Beckham travelled to Georgia to fire Inter Miami into one of the biggest games in the club's history. Inter Miami surprised everyone by going into the knockout stages unbeaten - drawing with Al Ahly and Palmeiras and beating Porto. Meanwhile, PSG topped their group despite a shock loss to Botafogo sandwiched between wins over Atletico Madrid and Seattle Sounders.

Beckham's appearance also comes amid rumours of family feuds, particularly with eldest son Brooklyn and daughter-in-law Nicola Peltz - both of whom were reportedly absent from Beckham's 50th birthday party last month.

However, Beckham still showed his attachment when he posted a birthday wish for his mother - Sandra - on social media, along with a loving message to family members, including Brooklyn.

Accompanying him in the last match was his son Romeo - who was also in the stands cheering for Inter Miami.
