On the evening of June 18th, at April 16th Square, the Provincial People's Committee held the closing ceremony of the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2023. Attending the ceremony were: Mr. Tran Quoc Nam, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Long Bien, Standing Committee Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and Head of the Festival Organizing Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Ms. Le Huyen, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; leaders of departments, agencies, organizations, districts, and cities; and a large number of tourists and people from across the province.

After six days of organization, the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2023 has successfully implemented all planned activities and events, leaving a strong impression on delegates, local people, domestic and international tourists; contributing to bringing the Ninh Thuan grape and wine brand closer to friends both domestically and internationally, creating momentum to promote tourism and socio-economic development.

The Grape and Wine Festival is a traditional festival of the province held every two years (first held in 2014). Notably, this year's festival coincides with the UNESCO ceremony recognizing "Cham pottery art as an intangible cultural heritage in need of urgent safeguarding." This is a significant cultural event aimed at raising awareness among the people and tourists, enhancing the responsibility of all levels, sectors, and localities in preserving and promoting the value of Cham pottery art as an intangible cultural heritage in the future. It also honors the economic value that grape cultivation brings to the locality; promotes the image of Ninh Thuan province, its cultural beauty, people, natural landscapes, and unique products to domestic and international tourists, contributing to the development of tourism in the province.

This year's festival received significant attention and investment from the Organizing Committee, featuring diverse, unique, and innovative activities on a large scale, taking place in various locations throughout the province. Notably, the UNESCO certificate awarding ceremony and the opening of the Ninh Thuan Grape and Wine Festival 2023 were broadcast live on VTV1, Vietnam Television, with the participation of President Vo Van Thuong and leaders from central ministries and agencies; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha also attended and delivered a keynote address. The festival's artistic program was large-scale, attracting over 7,400 delegates, tourists, and local people to watch and cheer.

During the festival, there were also many special activities such as: the 2023 Southern Central Region - Ninh Thuan Trade Fair with 300 booths from 150 businesses and production facilities from 17 provinces and cities in the region; a seminar on developing the value of grapevines and grape products, attracting over 160 delegates from scientific research institutes, universities, domestic and foreign experts, and businesses involved in grape and wine production and trading in the province. The 2nd Ninh Thuan Province Ethnic Culture Beauty Contest in 2023 created a bridge for the ethnic communities living in Ninh Thuan.

In addition, there was a street art performance program; the first-ever large-scale food festival themed "Flavors of Ninh Thuan," featuring 50 stalls showcasing and preparing culinary delights. Alongside this was the "Ninh Thuan Talented Chef" competition, which brought together professional chefs. A workshop on "Preserving and Promoting the Artistic Value of Cham Pottery" was also held, with over 100 delegates including scientists, managers, artisans, and Cham pottery producers and businesses participating in discussions aimed at finding solutions to preserve the traditional Cham pottery art; improve production; and effectively utilize pottery art for the province's tourism development in the future.

Sports activities in response to the "National Tourism Year 2023," such as the Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan Road Cycling Race - Trung Nam Group Cup and the Ninh Thuan - Binh Thuan Open Off-Road Car and Motorcycle Race on Sand 2023, have created a strong impact, attracting a large number of athletes and fans. The Raglai Cultural Festival in Bac Ai district recreated traditional Raglai festivals, showcased various musical instruments, introduced local specialties, and highlighted Raglai culinary culture, providing a cultural experience of the ethnic groups in the province for both locals and tourists. The Ninh Son Fruit Festival offered visitors an eco-tourism experience and a chance to enjoy the diverse and rich flavors bestowed by nature upon the Lam Son (Ninh Son) region. In particular, the "Journey to Discover the Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve" with its unique and distinctive activities such as releasing turtles back into the sea, visiting Hang Rai Cave, Vinh Hy Bay, and checking in at the rock park... is an opportunity to promote the image of the beautiful nature and friendly, hospitable people of the Nui Chua World Biosphere Reserve in particular, and Ninh Thuan province in general.

In his closing remarks at the festival, Comrade Nguyen Long Bien, Standing Committee member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, on behalf of the Organizing Committee, respectfully thanked the leaders of the Party and State, leaders of central ministries and agencies, leaders of provinces and cities, ambassadors and consuls general of foreign countries in Vietnam, distinguished guests, domestic and international organizations, and the business community and entrepreneurs from within and outside the province for attending the festival's events. Through this festival, Ninh Thuan hopes to continue receiving the attention and support of the leaders of the Party and State; leaders of central ministries and agencies, as well as the companionship of the people and domestic and international tourists, so that Ninh Thuan can continue to develop in the future.

Following the closing remarks, delegates, locals, and tourists enjoyed an artistic program themed "Ninh Thuan Shines Bright." The elaborately staged program consisted of three parts: Part 1 - Ninh Thuan - Impressive Destinations in the Hearts of Tourists; Part 2 - The Colors of Ninh Thuan; and Part III - Ninh Thuan Shines, Reaching New Heights, featuring performances by many famous artists and singers from the country and the province. The artistic program focused on showcasing the unique culture, people, potential, strengths, and tourism of the province; the valuable cultural heritage of Cham pottery, grapes, and characteristic products of Ninh Thuan were symbolized in the artistic performances on stage, along with songs praising the homeland and country, and songs associated with Ninh Thuan... creating an image of Ninh Thuan as rich in identity, dynamic, friendly, polite, hospitable, and experiencing strong development.
