On April 25, Ninh Phuoc District People's Committee held a conference to review the winter-spring crop production in 2023-2024 and deploy the summer-autumn crop production plan in 2024.

In the 2023-2024 winter-spring crop, Ninh Phuoc district planted 8,095 hectares of various crops, reaching 97.3% of the plan. Thanks to the synchronous implementation of solutions in production direction, correct implementation of the crop calendar, reasonable water regulation, and application of scientific and technical advances in production, crop yields were quite good.

Ninh Phuoc District People's Committee deploys summer-autumn crop production in 2024.

Implementing the 2024 summer-autumn crop production, based on the amount of water in the lakes, Ninh Phuoc district has developed 2 planting options. In which, option 1: From now until the end of May, if there is no rain in the area, the production area in the lakes will be temporarily suspended, only producing areas benefiting from the irrigation systems of Kenh Nam, Kenh Cham and Kenh Nam 2. Expected production is 7,723.7 hectares. Option 2: From now until the end of May, if there is rain in the province, the reservoirs will be supplemented with water, then the irrigation area in the lakes will be expanded. Expected production is 8,147 hectares of various crops. Continue to maintain 11 large rice fields with an area of ​​2,150 hectares and 2 large green asparagus fields with an area of ​​56.65 hectares. In addition, it is expected to rotate and convert summer-autumn crops with an area of ​​44.7 hectares from rice and colored soil to crops that use less irrigation water. Summer-autumn crop sowing time from May 15 to June 10, 2024.
