In the final match on the afternoon of May 10th, Yen Sinh faced Lee Yu Na, an experienced player from South Korea. Cheered on enthusiastically by the home crowd, the Vietnamese representative entered the match confidently with precise shots and impressive control of the game. After the first half, Yen Sinh had a significant lead, going 15-5.
In the second half, Lee Yu Na staged a strong comeback with a series of 6 points to narrow the gap to 18-24. However, Yen Sinh's composure at the right moment helped her maintain a stable pace. The female player from Ho Chi Minh City consistently capitalized on opportunities before closing out the match with a 30-19 victory after 35 innings. She became the first Vietnamese player to claim the top spot in a continental tournament.
Previously, Yen Sinh had a convincing journey to reach the championship match. In the quarterfinals, she defeated billiards hot girl Baek Ga In after a breathtaking chase. Although trailing 21-24 in the second set, Yen Sinh managed to recover and win the match 30-25.
In the semi-finals, the home player continued to make a name for himself by defeating the defending champion Heo Chae Won. Yen Sinh played dominantly, creating a 10-point series and leading 18-1 after only the first half, before winning convincingly 30-12 after 22 innings.
Not only did Yen Sinh bring joy to the home team, but Vietnamese billiards also secured another championship in the 1-cushion carom event. Pham Canh Phuc played exceptionally well, defeating Mori Yoichirou (Japan) with a score of 100-42 after 14 innings.
In the U22 3-cushion carom event, Dinh Trong Van finished as runner-up after losing to the defending champion Kim Do Hyun of South Korea with a score of 28-40.
