Quang Nghiep Primary School's report stated that immediately after receiving the complaint from the parent of student NMP (class 4C) that English teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh showed signs of school violence with student P and challenged the family, the school established a team to verify the incident.
During the 4th period - English class on the morning of April 19, when she saw P sitting in the wrong position and facing down, causing a disturbance in the class, Ms. Linh pulled on her shirt and reminded her to sit back in the right place. However, P continued to violate the rules. At the end of the period, P had a conflict with his classmate, and Ms. Linh intervened to stop him.

Ms. Linh admitted that, in the process of stopping them, due to being impatient and losing her temper, when she saw the two students fighting, she slapped student P on the cheek, with the intention of warning him to be more serious in the next class.
Ms. Linh proactively called P's mother to discuss the incident. She said that during the discussion, she did not intend to challenge the family.
The school also worked with the 4C class. Accordingly, students of the class confirmed that when P. had a conflict with a friend, the teacher scolded, pulled P's hair, and slapped him.
Ms. Pham Thi Ngoc Hao, homeroom teacher of class 4C, said that throughout the 3 afternoon classes of the same day, through observation, P. and the students in the class were still very active in learning.
After the incident, the homeroom teacher regularly cared about and asked about P's health, thoughts, and feelings.
Also according to the report of Quang Nghiep Primary School, the school reported to local leaders, the Departmentof Education and Training, proactively coordinated with related units as well as homeroom teachers.
The school, the union, the homeroom teacher, and teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh also proactively met with the family, visited and encouraged P., and took P. to the hospital for a check-up. P.'s health and mental state are stable, she participates in class activities and plays with her friends, and shows no signs of abnormality.
The school determined that teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh, due to anger and loss of composure, acted impulsively, scolded, pulled hair and slapped student P.
"Initial determination is that teacher Nguyen Thi Thuy Linh's anger, loss of composure, and impulsive actions violated the code of conduct in schools. The school will continue to review and confirm the content of the incident according to the complaint and handle violations according to regulations, if any," the report stated.
